If you V8 swap it nothing about it will be an e30 anymore, it’ll be more of a dodge than a bmw

I dont know honestly, I like keeping an oem+ build, and considering that the engine you havve in it is from an e34 5 series if I remember correctly, which is the same engine that would come stock on an e30 325i, I would much rather see you guys keep the engine

You've put in a lot of work into her. Credit to you. I know Mercedes of this era can suffer from rust, but the amount this one had is huge. I mean, I had to look up where you were from, and it's Lebanon. Not a country like Scotland, or Scandinavia, or Seattle, where a damp climate can cause havoc on cars. How did it get so bad? I mean, even the tops of the doors suffered. Having to paint it twice must have been heartbreaking. Well done on sticking with it. Also, stay safe. Your neighbor isn't very friendly to their neighbors at the moment.

The owner used to park it beside the sea (salty water) under a tree in an open environment for the last 20 years! I guess the rust came from that. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and your support! We’ll try to stay safe and hopefully everything gets settled down soon.

Yeah sorry for the bad video angles but these cars are made different, every thing is stacked up in the front and its really hard to work on. If you look under this suv you’ll see all the mechanical parts in the engine bay area and behind that you’ll see only the brake lines going to the back.
