Kateryna Kosianenko is an extremely talented and soulful artist. She hails from Kyiv. Her Art is unlike anything I've ever seen, and captures not only brutality but immediacy and hope in this War. Her exhibition “Victory” opened in the Spring of 2023 in Lviv. I teach at Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv. My students explored the exhibit. They wrote of her art and its impact on them. She visited our classroom and talked with the students. She was gracious. That experience for my students was eternal. In April of 2024, I attended the “Victory” Exhibition in Kyiv. I visited with Kateryna. I videotaped this conversation with her. Kateryna (and her Art) more than anybody else I’ve met in Ukraine in these past two years, reveals for me, the soul of this land. “Victory” has shown all around Ukraine in these past twelve months. I believe it belongs in the United States. I think that she and her work, will awaken and remind many in my country, of the virtue and stakes here in her country. This show is a masterpiece by HBO. While NETFLIX chooses to shove wokeness down our throats and insists on making shows showing men with their tongues down each others throats HBO continues to make quality shows like this one.

One thing I like about this is that, while John Adams and those in favor of separation from Britain are clearly the protagonists in this and the side you're expected to cheer for, the opposition makes perfectly sound reasons for NOT separating from Britain, like how are they supposed to fight the British - then the most powerful nation in the world - when they don't have any real army or navy?
