Hey thanks man you really helped me to understand what im dealing with as far as this egr system goes i didn't really have a clear understanding of how this system works like i do now i have a code for my dpfe sensor and i probably wont even need to take the egr system apart since i know now that the dpfe is the pressure moniter for the egr valve and is likely fried causing the issues not any actual blockage or broken valve parts. Mine has struggles accelerating from a stop especially going up hill and whenever i first start it ij the morning it takes it several minutes to steady out the rpms at idle it just bounces up and down from 1krpm to 2500rpms until it finally drops down past 1k and settles at 700rpm but not before letting out a growl of dissaproval. Also my HVAC vacuum lines are brittle as anything, one of them actually busted in half because i had the blower set on full speed when i turned my air on and i guess the sudden whooshing of that air going from an off position straight to its maximum speed was too much for that 22 year old vacuum tube and it just launched itself in both directions causing my car to only have any air flow through the defrost vents no matter what setting i have it on only off or defrost worked so i patched the broken tube with another little piece of tubing to bond them together and i gotta be careful to avoid letting even my arm hair brush against any of the tubes in the big gangbang of hvac hoses in the top left of the engine but sure enough anytime i open my hood inevitably i exhale too sharply and generate enough g force to pulsate a blast wave straight through the frail little fuckers and there i go spending all day accidentally breaking all the lines adjacent to the one intended line to fix. But aside from the rotten vacuum hoses and the 22 year old sensors that are burning up as we speak, its a great car really its quite resilient i totaled it once and then swapped the engine with another one from the junkyard and it ran perfectly i thought i needed an alignment since my car kept eating tires but actually after a new set of front struts/shocks and balljoints it drives perfectly straight no uneven wear and even if u dont take care of it its fine i drove it for 4 years with it on E gas light on never put more than $5 in it per day and it got me everywhere i needed to go and only just learned anything at all about cars after having it for years so never changed oil or any fluids or checked any of them or did anything other than put gas in and i even drove it heavily for a month with a little run flat donut spare tire on one side which was already bald when i got it and i expected it to pop all the time but never did. Then one time my breaks randomly went out and had no pressure so i had to stop pushing the gas and floor the break peddle as hard as i could at least 50 feet before the stopping point i had to stay about a school bus away from the next car in case they had to break for anything but then on my way home one day the breaks just came back and i never knew why also i fell asleep and clipped a pole the other night and my belt drive pulleys made a loud screeching sound until next day then stopped but mirror fell off had to bolt it on but the most expensive repair its ever needed from me has been the ignition coil pack which had literally melted off its mount by the plastic that makes up the connecter harness and despite it being half melted off it still only missed when going uphill. i have enough mud caked up inside my cars undercarrieage and frame to brick a house and it doesn't stop it from working i just removed a couple pounds of compacted mud from the inside of the plastic cover that goes around the charcoal canister thingy and all the electrical connections and plugs that its got all throughout its body are coated in mud and im scared to wash them with water cause the muds probably the only insulation that a lot of the electrical has got i have tried to clean some of the wiring harness connecters but most of em wont detatch without breaking so i just leave em be oh yeah also all my cat converters are hollowed out. Not replaced just removed, hollowed out, and re installed. Not sure how thoroughly it was done but the catalyst inefficiency lights have been on since i had ownership of it and the exhuast makez it out the pipe so i guess its good enough my transmissiom range sensor had a low voltage code so i removed it and performed a repair technique i got from a youtube video that involved stretching the springs out and sandpapering the metal innards to boost the conductivity between them and the metal parts that they touch and it worked my code went away also i sprayed the sensor and plug down with part cleaner and scrubbed it all down and slathered dielectric grease along the bare piece of wire and all the normal ones that ran from the sensor to the ecu so that they would be sealed up somewhat and insulated from the outside world and also let my drug dealer replace/add the most largest thick size of ground wire they make and not only replaced all the original grounds with this huge new wiring but also added like 12 new ground cables to various places and didnt ask me or tell me about ut until after when i said whaf are u doing he said u cant have enough grounds and i never questioned it but i wish now my positive cables were also replaced with the same stuff cause the negatives are big new shiny thick cords and the reds are the original old skinny melted burned up dirty wires and my battery terminal connecters are corroded and warped my battery light comes on all the time but no issues anyway this car is a good one cheap and strong car last long

It’s not a Pentastar. The 2.7L V6 was introduced in 1998 before the Pentastar family ever started.
@lsellclumanetsolarenergyll50714 жыл бұрын
@@brandon18054 Pentastar was introduced in 1969. You thinking of the newly named Engine Family "Chrysler Pentastar engine" which was reintroduced in 2011 under the new Fiat Chrysler Maserati umbrella. Which are made at the Trenton Engine Plant which opened in 1952. Any engine coming out of Trenton got the nickname Pentastar do to the history of the plant producing almost all of the original PENTASTAR Engines. Even the 1998 Chrysler LH / EER is a Pentastar engine look at the symbol on it and you will see it is a MOPAR Pentastar mark on the Engine.

How about using a bottle of seafoam putting half in oil reserve, and take the brake hose connected to exhaust manifold turn the engine on and slowly pour it in there so it can circulate the whole engine, once complete shut engine off for 20 minutes and turn it back on and let the engine burn out the old oil access maybe go for a little drive and once it stops smoking. Give it a oil change and every piece of engine is now lubricated and old oil excess is removed, now your engine is pretty much saved and repeating this every oil change will last your engine for a long time.

Thank you for this detailed analysis. A few corrections since English is not your first language: At 5:53 - it is a vacuum monitoring sensor, not a pressure sensor. Pressure means above atmospheric or ambient air pressure. And at 6:10 you are sucking the air out of the EGR valve chamber (diaphragm). You are applying a partial vacuum with your hand held vacuum pump.
