Beavercreek Ohio is NOT right next to the base. Fairborn Ohio IS right next to the base. There are new housing projects going up in Fairborn. Riverside IS right next to the base. Riverside is down by the Air Force Museum. Park Layne/Crystal Lakes/Medway IS right next to the base. Enon and Yellow Springs are both further out but a less then 10-minute drive. New Carlisle is further out. But a less then 20-minute drive. Springfield and Xenia are further out but less than a 30-minute drive from the base.

I. Reside in Beavercreek! I do work over at W.P.A.F.B. There’s lots of people that work there or Retired for the base . I got some recognition from a former base Commander.

How far in advance to you suggest folks be in touch before relocating? Also, have you helped people moving into Ohio from another state buy blind?

How about New Carlisle? I used to live there and was curious your thoughts on it.

@jadenbaise2881 Thanks for the reply. I lived there from '72-'77. As your heading into town from the south it was 2nd street on the left just after you come over the little bridge at the town limits. Nice area for sure. And yes, you do have to drive a bit for shopping and entertainment, but it was never much of an issue. Just stock-up if a snow or ice storm is expected.😉
