great ! can you make a video how you set kerf , that letters feats perfectly ?
@smalltownlasercreations3 күн бұрын
I kerf each side a little bit. The yellow in that case was a .025 kerf and the maroon was a .045 kerf. On rounded things it’s tight and may need to be less but on straight lines it’s perfect

hey did you guys ever find out what exactly was causing the inconsistencies for this beamobx before you let go of it? i have the smaller beamo (have had it for about a year now) and i get the same inconsistences with pretty much all the settings i use. for both wood and acrylic. i'll change the settings until it seems to kut fine, then in random spots it will just be spotty again. i dont really have the funds right now to get anything better honestly lol so im kinda stuck.
@smalltownlasercreations18 күн бұрын
So I never ended up finding out what was wrong with it. The only thing that would make sense is the tube is going out or bad power supply. I ended up returning that machine, then getting another POS machine full spectrum laser. Then sold that and bought the greatest machine ever. If I would have not screwed around with the other machines and bought a thunder from the start I would have made a lot more in profit over the years.
@Mr.Ponton18 күн бұрын
@@smalltownlasercreations interesting. i wonder if thats just indicative of where the machine is produced since we both encountered the same issue but with different machines. like i mentioned, i've had my beamo for about a year but i've only been using it lightly - like for a few hours every 2 weeks or so. if its going bad off of *that* then they have a major problem.
@smalltownlasercreations18 күн бұрын
Ya that wouldn’t be cool. I’ve been using my thunder a lot over the last year and it’s not even close to having issues. I bounced that machine off every step on the way down the stairs and I didn’t even have to align the mirrors

@Mr.Ponton the lower end thunder lasers are around 5-6 k and you could make a lot of products with them. I went with a large machine and it was 13k but I’ve made a lot of money with that machine in 1.5 years. It’s all about finding the right niche and running with it

So sick but what’s that machine/how’d the colors come out differently? Just curious on the process
@smalltownlasercreationsАй бұрын
Each color is a separate sheet of acrylic that is cut then placed in like a puzzle. It’s pretty tough when it’s a small sign cause some of the pieces are tiny. As for the machine it’s a thunder nova 51 / 100 watt

I don't know. I found a page with instructions when the flow test stays at 0L/min. I checked the hoses for kinks. Next step is to check a cable on the circuit board. I will do that tomorrow.

How did you get started in this business?
@smalltownlasercreations9 ай бұрын
To be honest I have always had the entrepreneurial spirit. Once I graduated college my dad started getting shirts made and I said “I hate the way you are doing this, let’s do it this way” well that turned into 4-5 years of a small business making t-shirts and by the end I hated it. It was a ton of work to make not a ton of money, especially since each shirt was singular and custom so you couldn’t bulk out shirts. After closing that I just started researching. I wanted a machine that did majority of the work and would then make more profits. I came across lasers and enjoyed the concept of them. Well researched and researched and decided to jump in feet first and spent 8k of refinancing money from our home for house projects and bought a machine lol. The machine was small and not a great investment for what we paid but made some money. Well enough for us to sell that machine after the first year and upgrade to a 13k machine that can cut 48”x35” Long story but do not regret it at all.
