I. Choose business class for one main reason. Every time I go cattle class and I am flying the 6000miles/ 12hr plus flight to China. I ALWAYS get some ignorant person who has to hog all the arm rest plus more. So I do not mind the extra cost. Plus the food is generally better.

Etihad details for business class baggage was incorrect. I flew business class to Shanghai via Abu Dhabi on the 7th of Nov. 2024. The std business class ticket was 32kg baggage. This was on both legs. To get the 40kg baggage allowance, which I needed. I had to upgrade my ticket to “Business comfort”. This gives you the extra allowance. This was a £60 extra.

Prices also are different...Etihad business is much cheaper than A380 business class. I recently took a flight Madrid-Abu Dhabi in Business with Etihad, for 850 euros. Impossible to achieve with Emirates.

@DubaiOnPointАй бұрын
@@MrClark-bo7fi Thank you! 🤗 Great question. When its summer (June - - September) runners go very early like 6am-7am. You will experience on Kite Beach that a lot of runners go early morning. Even 6am there is a lot of people. In the winter season its almost nice weather to run anytime during the day. Thanks again for your positive feedback and question.

Number 9: The Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah 01:50 "was the first hotel to have electricity on every floor". It was built in 2013 and opened in 2014 so I doubt that very much. The hotel has a New Year's Eve gala dinner which costs US$600+ per person (half price for those under 12) which is additional to room costs and mandatory for all guests. Any alcohol?

The World Islands in Dubai have faced several significant challenges since their inception: Financial Issues: The 2008 global financial crisis severely impacted the development of The World Islands. Many developers faced financial difficulties, leading to halted construction and undeveloped islands. Environmental Concerns: The construction of these artificial islands has caused considerable environmental damage. The dredging process disrupted marine ecosystems, and the islands themselves have altered natural water currents, leading to erosion and sedimentation issues. Infrastructure Challenges: Building on these islands requires extensive infrastructure, including water supply, sewage systems, electricity, and transportation links. These requirements have proven to be complex and costly. Erosion and Stability: The islands are made from sand dredged from the Gulf, which makes them susceptible to erosion from tides and storms. Maintaining the stability of these islands is an ongoing challenge. Rising Sea Levels: With the threat of climate change, rising sea levels pose a long-term risk to the sustainability of these islands. Protective measures, such as sea barriers, are necessary but add to the overall cost and complexity. Despite these challenges, there are ongoing efforts to revive and develop The World Islands, but progress remains slow and uncertainty. Not all the problems faced by The World Islands in Dubai have been fully resolved. Here’s an update on the current status: Financial Issues: While some financial stability has returned post-2008 crisis, many islands remain undeveloped due to ongoing financial constraints and lack of investor interest. Environmental Concerns: Efforts have been made to mitigate environmental damage, but the long-term impacts on marine ecosystems and water currents are still a concern. Infrastructure Challenges: Some progress has been made in developing infrastructure, but it remains a complex and costly endeavor. Only a few islands have been fully developed with the necessary amenities. Erosion and Stability: Measures have been taken to combat erosion, such as reinforcing the islands with rock and concrete barriers. However, maintaining stability is an ongoing challenge. Rising Sea Levels: This remains a significant threat. Protective measures are being considered, but the long-term sustainability of the islands in the face of climate change is uncertain. Overall, while there have been efforts to address these issues, many challenges remain, and the future of The World Islands project is still uncertain.

I've flown Emirates Business class on maybe 10 round trips for Ho Chi Minh to Birmingham and Heathrow UK. The 1st leg from SGN to DXB is on a B777 I find the seat narrow and coffin like, set two abreast there's the clamber over factor when bed mode. This is a shame as that's the night time section and I'm ready to sleep. Then my favorite plane of all time the A380 for 2nd leg, now I can sleep. The bar is great for a beer and snack eaten at a table, similar to my first flight on a BOAC 4 prop plane from Accra via Tripoli, Rome to London Heathrow in 1952. My favorite lounge has to be Qatar's with cooked to order lamb chops or steaks etc. Even their mini fast track lounge offered a great sandwich and coffee service for a 30 min plane change.

Hi new subscriber here, I have got the once in a lifetime opportunity to travel in Emirates Business Class and it was EPIC and awesome A memorable experience, great Customer service, the IFE is also top notch, TBH I prefer Emirates over Etihad especially because EK operates the nicer B777-300ER, compared to Etihads A320 NEO or CEO in some cases, plus I have also heard that EY had removed their IFE screen in their smaller aircraft, I know they had moved it to the portable smart devices which as a young adult is not a problem for me, however if I'm travelling with my elder grandma, its a problem and I'm sure that there are people who are not that tech savy anyway.

Both are terrific so we're talking fine margins. Based on my experience...Emirates better because: Chauffeur outside UAE (don't know why Etihad got rid of this), IFE, bigger lounges (but less intimate), the on-board bar is way more fun (Etihad bar is often empty!). Etihad better because: cabins much more stylish, food (it was top end restaurant quality). FAs - a tie. Price - I've generally noticed Emirates being more expensive. Overall probably Emirates probably wins but at a higher cost. I still love Etihad and always will having flown them so many times.
