Its so funny, as a kid ever since I started playing this game frequently back in 2011-12 i was obsessed with it so much, that everytime I went to bed I hummed the intro theme to windmille isle night, every single time before i went to bed 🤣

I suprisingly had alot of fun playing this stage only i really hate the part where your in the roller-coaster. It was so difficult to control that thing

When I reached this level, I died so much, that the tries and practice lead me to finish the level with rank A, because if I didn't, I wouldn't even have beaten the level.

It took me years as an 8-13 year old just to beat the Wii version of this. Although I enjoy my day and night segments seperated, I must admit that this looks x10 more horrifying to undergo.

Probably the sonic game I love the most, after playing shadow generations it might be a tie but looking at this throw a lot of memories, I finished this game twice once on Xbox one and Xbox series x, just because I couldn’t as a kid.

Fantastic song choice, this version of It Doesn’t Matter has always been THE theme song for Sonic imo, fits his character so perfectly This stage with that song and that beautiful Dreamcast skin… I adore the SA1 vibes so much

I played this level today. I prefer the Act 2 level over Act 1, but you make this level look easy.

Back when this game got released, I was having trouble collecting the Emeralds because of how much I started tapping the speed booster instead of actually holding down to keep the momentum going with one character at a time. Luckily, I was able to beat the entire game by the time Shadow The Hedgehog came out the following year. 😅

And people will still say Frontiers combat is better. Insane

I can confirm that this DOES NOT work if you're on modded PC. No, I don't know what causes it unfortunately. Big's speed increase in this video is fixed. I tried everything, switching to Big after the first orb, waiting until level 3 to boost, etc etc. Those two special stages in particular have given me so much trouble but what I'm gonna suggest is what got me the emeralds Since PC doesn't have savestates, I would instead recommend lowering your framerate. I'm playing on Steam Deck so it's super easy to lower it while I'm playing but if you don't have something that can lower framerate while you play then I would cap at 30fps personally and try again

Going back and kids will never understand the pain of this level when we were young.. Ps2- Wii easy Xbox and ps3- this where real men grow up 😭😭

This level, imo, truly is the magnum opus of Sonic Unleashed. The Crimson Carnival is you, quite literally, "running the gauntlet" down anything and everything Dr. Robotnik has to throw at you. This is one of his greatest achievements - a hellish fortress that will push you to your limits. *_Make it YOUR'S!_*

... And I thought this level couldn't be any harder. The Wii version was a complete cakewalk for me!

Imagine this level with frontiers or shadow Generations combat. Frontiers can seamlessly transition between speed and combat. Shadow Generations can incorporate combat into a speed-focused gameplay. Just imagine we have a good balance of both, and we can bring back this level

Watching someone absolutely demolish this level is cathartic, even after all these years since I've played the game.
