I wonder if people realize that this actually is a zero compromises cinema AND documentary camera at the same time. It got all the features it needs to compete with the best of the best in both areas. If you were to look for the single most perfect digital cinema camera it would only be lacking global shutter (it therefore has much better low light performance, though - you cant really get high clean base iso AND global shutter) integrated non-polarizing variable ND filters (But therefore the integrated ones on this one are 3 stops stronger than Sonys - 3 stops is a lot more than it sounds - fun fact - all of the filters are 2 stops apart. The 3 base ISOs are also each 2 stops apart. So whenever shooting with this camera, always go down to the 800 base ISO before using any ND filters. Using the first 2 step ND on 12800 is like no ND at 3200. Same is for 4 step ND at 12800 or 2 step ND at 3200 being the same as no ND at 800. Its genius - Maybe the choice of the exact levels of the triple base ISOs makes more sense to some of you guys).

1. Does the app pop-up problem still exist? The pop-up window appears because there is a new product configuration file that has not been updated. It has been updated now. There will be no pop-up window prompt when you reopen the app; 2. We found that the bluetooth performance of the mac12 system is not handled well. What system is your mac? If it is a 12 system, please upgrade to a 14 system, so that the Bluetooth connection performance will be much more stable.

With those base ISOs Sounds like it was in WideDR mode. Log modes would have 800 3200 12800

I don’t think a majority of people starting out in videography or photography should worry about a factor as trivial as rolling/global shutter, I would instead urge them to seek specifications that will work best with the reason they are starting to venture into this realm in the first place. This video is a good one regardless. Very informative.

Don’t worry about vertical rigging. One of the benefits of 3:2 open gate is the crop that can easily format to vertical videos just put on your frame guides and you’re good.

According to canon 800, 3200, and 12800 are available when shooting in clog, clog2, clog3, and raw. 709 has different ISOs
@michaeljanke24204 ай бұрын
the ISO operation is actually dependent on the base ISO and the color profile. So in canon rec 709 your options are different than clog2/3

800, 3200, 12800 are with RAW and XF codecs
@KarlevidProductions3 ай бұрын
800,3200,12800 is with the clog 2 and clog 3 log profiles, has nothing to do with codecs. Wide DR and canon 709 profiles use 400, 1600, 6400

It makes no sense.... canon makes a full frame video focused lens (RF 24-105 mm F2.8) it is basicly everybodys dream lens... BUT !!!! NO FULL FRAME RF MOUNT CAMERAS WITH BUILD IN ND FILTERS... WTH - C500 mark 2 is full frame and has ND build in but NO RF mount - C70 is crop sensor, and with the speedbooster it becomes EF mount... - R5C has no ND build in and with the ND adaptor it becomes EF mount.. - R3 is a photo camera and no ND filters - C300 mark 3 has EF mount Canon what is going on here? Even seen some videos from canon where ambassadors are filming on C70 with the RF 24-105 f 2.8 :P but then its not really a 24mm anymore :P - Its sad to see.

What would you like to see from a new Canon cinema camera?
@mcneilbelle6 ай бұрын
@@pro.video.coalition maybe global shutter to start , open gate , dynamic ranges that hit 16 stops , full hdmi , ND’s and clog 2 in all cinema camera not just a couple maybe just whole new log ,SDI in and out ports and box style camera like daVinci’s doing because they care about their customers lastly higher frame rates on on all modes canon is behind the 8 ball and need to get rolling before they lose everyone to Sony, Fuji, Panasonic, blackmagic and RED

If it’s just chrome based in the cloud will you have to wait for all your clips to upload? It would also be convenient if you could install a local version that could read files off a drive

I hope that Nikon won't just cater to the pro market. I mean, the ZF is nice, but it's also a niche product. Meanwhile the Z6 II and Z7 II are old, and the DX line is uninspiring with no rumours about anything new happening. As a DSLR user, I still haven't jumped to mirrorless. I'm not really a video guy though, so maybe this is the wrong place to say this.

I don't think they'll ever bail on the consumer/prosumer side. I was telling them before we rolled that I literally built a career at Red Bull on my D90 (for photo) and never needed to upgrade until I "retired" as a photographer and went back to focusing on film, but to your point I think the Z8 and Z9 are insane cameras well worth looking at, and while I agree that the transition from DSLR to Mirrorless was somewhat "difficult" for me (I do much prefer looking through the lens and not a screen) I've shoot mirrorless for 10 years now or so and don't feel like I'm missing anything contrasted with the benefits of a mirrorless platform today. It's kinda nice to see the image as it'll be before you take it. To scratch that viewfinder itch I do have an X100V though haha -Kenny
