Take vitamin D. I have ACCA too and my doctor told me to take HIGH STRENGTH Vitamin D. Hair is starting to grow back.

Thank you! Vitamin D3 with K2 are in my daily regimen as well. The K2 helps the vitamin D absorb.

Don't keep putting braids call dermatologist
@AmbAllStar2 ай бұрын
I've gone to the dermatologist. That's how I know it's CCCA. I don't have braids. My hair had been fine with locs.

I don’t think rubbing oil on the ccca spot will prevent it or slow it? It’s inflammation. When someone is braiding your hair it shouldn’t be popping out easily. So yes traction alopecia is a thing. It usually gets us around the edges but someone putting a braid and the hair is coming out because of her grip is not normal. The one thing we all have in common is the food causing inflammation in the gut. Yes there’s a genetic component but the environment is what pulls the trigger. Try an anti inflammatory diet.

Mine is not inflammatory. It's hereditary. Yes, the traction alopecia occurred when I got cornrow braids with added hair and the hair was tearing from my scalp. Not sure what you meant by popping out?

Thank you so much for posting this. It completely encouraged me to start my loc journey even though I have CCCA. (started a day or two after watching your video) I am truly grateful for you!

Amber, thank you for posting this video. It's so encouraging, especially since I have CCCA as well. I was going back and forth, again and again, debating if I wanted to get locs. You have motivated me to move forward with this journey.

@@ambersturdivant9898 Yes, I'm an official member of the loc community. It's been four months, and it has been wonderful not having to detangle my hair. I feel so free now, and I wish I had done it sooner. Thank you!

In the world of addiction whatever that addiction may be, when you take the first one I guarantee you it will lead to the second...and 3rd and 4th and 5th and six you get the message...my higher power happens to be God and with his help and me not taking the first one I can overcome addiction..I read Mr Scott's book don't take the first one and he handed that copy to me on the day I made up my mind to quit drinking and I'm happy to say even though Im new when it comes to being sober I have a year of being alcohol-free.I just celebrated that Milestone on August the 18th of this year..🦅
