i love your lectures but holy crap what a waste of time 90% of this lecture was, watching you manually add up the frequencies etc...

been a few years since my undergrad and wanted a stats refresher. this series is by far the best of anything else I could find on youtube. many profs and especially people on youtube will just present these things but disconnected. they'll go from one slide to the next as a grab bag of related ideas. the way you do it shows that you understand how stats work very deeply because of the way you transition from one topic to another. Unlike many others, you're able to show the connections between everything you're talking about. It's difficult for me to verbalize but whatever you're doing, thank you.

I am watching your videos from Tokyo and I can't express my gratitude enough to you for posting this lectures online. I am avoiding numbers and math except the minimum necessary for surviving my whole life so the statistics exam during my psychology study is giving me huge anxiety. Going through my university textbooks didn't help much because it made me even more confused. Thanks God I found this channel because your system of thoroughly dissecting everything into micro- parts makes it possible to understand literally everything! Additionally , it's starting to be fun now and I prefer watching your videos before any other entertainment now. It's getting surprisingly exciting:-)! Maybe you saved another person's life and I will pass the exam: and as a bonus you made me fall in love with statistics thanks to your approach:-) ! Arigatou gozaimasu!

It has been many years since I studied correlational and experimental psychology units/modules in my degree (in Australia), and now I'm taking my final unit in research which is psychological assessments. Honestly, it feels like I've forgotten a lot of what I learned back then. It's like I have a vague sense of familiarity, but I'm a bit lost! These videos have been a lifesaver for me, helping me brush up on my knowledge so I can tackle the current unit with confidence. I'm planning to check out all your videos since I really need to refresh my memory in these areas. Thanks a ton! 🙂

You mentioned a repository of data in Michigan. Were you referring to the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR)? or something else? Thank you for creating and posting this lecture series.

Dear Professor Ainsworth. I really am out of words to thank you. I am an academic from Sri Lanka who has been self-learning IRT for a long time. Although I can run the analysis on R, I struggled a lot with its interpretation. It is also difficult to find IRT experts in our country to get guidance. Most KZbin videos are also not properly structured. Your video is extremely helpful, and I was able to gain a lot of insights about IRFs and how to interpret them thanks to your lecture. Thank you so much.

Your videos are awesome and very well explained. Unfortunately, not too many people are interested in Psychometrics. I wish you had more views Dr. Ainsworth. I am an Educational Diagnostician (Texas) , Certified Specialist in Psychometry, and Field Research Examiner for Pearson.. I have participated in the Standardization of the WISC V, WISC V Integrated, WISC V Spanish and many more. I have completed more than 1000 cases for Pearson in over a decade. I have to train some of my co workers and come up with a training about Psychometrics and your videos are very useful. Thank you for sharing the knowledge, I am more in the practical side of Psychometrics, testing people, but it is important to know the theoretical aspect of the tools of our trade, otherwise, you are just blindly administering a test believing your scores are a pristine representation of the abilities of your examinee. Keep up the good work!

Hello, Prof. Ainsworth. My name is Zui and I'm a student of Psychology in English in Bulgaria. Thank you for your lectures, I'll watch them all, and I'll be able to pass my statistics exam. Statistics was an abstract concept for me, now it has become a construct. We need a teacher like you here. Thank you again for the simple easily understandable way of explaining stats.

Thanks a lot Prof. Ainsworth! I was quite confused, when we had that topic in the lecture in our university, and your videos explaine everything in the detail I need to understand the models and theories properly. It is even fun for me! Thanks for making that puplicly available! :)
