Girl you should know through and through everybody does understand that nature and natural can't be beat! Which means cut out all that cosmetic surgery thing. Next being fit, being able to do things you need to and want to do! I used to surf and one winter i put on ten pounds and it made a huge difference in my athleticism. I couldn't deal with that, it just didn't suit my life. So women have to ask themselves what is important to them image, health, vanity,? And number one not making decisions on what other ppl do or think!! You have a brain of your own for a reason, otherwise we'd be physically connected to other ppl. Just like other choices in life that don't involve others figure it out for yourself the choice should come rather easily.😊

The Fat Acceptance Movement is really concerning right now. I'm not sure why females in 2023 prefer to eat junk food all day everyday, doing zero exercise. When did being extremely overweight becoming the ideal body size, giving the diet industry the middle finger ? I guess it really is a case of "My body, my choice" for a lot of girls & women now.
@amandarisdal
@amandarisdal Жыл бұрын
I think the problem starts with the junk food and fast food being handed to us to begin with. We’re all too comfortable with the amount of fat and sugar that is in this junk. It doesn’t leave us full or satisfied, it leaves us wanting more. Junk food is made to eat that way. Potato chips designed to be the perfect texture so it has people wanting more. I’m not going to say I haven’t fallen victim to eating it at some point. A few years ago before I had a better mindset with food and health, I ate a lot of junk and even tho I never gained any weight because of my metabolism or whatever the case may be, it was still negatively impacting me. It’s not always easy to see visually. Whether someone is overweight or not, we can’t deny that we are actively choosing to eat this stuff with little to no nutritional value. Along with the lack of movement throughout our days. Again, I have been that person, eating junk and lazy, but the important part is to get up and hold yourself accountable. It’s simple enough if you start eating better and exercising that you’ll be healthier. You’ll lose weight or maybe for someone like me, I’ll gain muscle and not be so frail. The biggest issue is that no one can accept there is a problem to begin with. Food is convenient, I can completely understand, however, these fast food chains and junk food aren’t doing anything for us. It’s thrown in our faces so people think it’s okay but it’s clear that we aren’t supposed to be eating a lot of the stuff that’s out there. I think the part of the answer is educating ourselves and others about how we can make a change. But unfortunately, we can help convince someone that they need to be healthier all we want but if they don’t come to that understanding on their own, it’ll never happen. As for the ideal body type, I personally think it’s ridiculous that we even have that concept within our society. But I have seen company’s be more inclusive to all body size , just like any other body type or narrative that fits what they want to brainwash us with. Now using overweight people, that possibly can be unhealthy in their habits, I can understand how frustrating that may look when it’s being advertised. I believe that everyone is beautiful no matter their weight, but I don’t think being unhealthy and not taking care of yourself is attractive so take that as you want . I simply want everyone to be able to be healthy and find a way to move their body that they enjoy. We aren’t supposed to be sitting at desks all day, we need to go outside and give ourselves that time. It’s never too late to change our ways.

yes this needed to be said. it’s scary how tempted i can be to mold my body for a trend, or second guess the months of discipline i put into weight lifting (which i love) because skinny is in or because i suddenly miss the old body i never appreciated
@amandarisdal
@amandarisdal Жыл бұрын
Exactly!! Before I started weightlifting I hated my body, but now I’m genuinely appreciative for my body and what it can do. We all have our own desires and goals and we can’t let trends dictate or get in the way of who we truly are

I've been struggling with these kinds of thoughts for a couple of months now and watching this video maid me feel so much better that at least i'm not alone in having these thoughts. My personal trainer pushes me to eat more and gain weight because that was her own personal journey and the type of body she likes but i'm not really comfortable with that and at the end of the day this is my body and i decide what is right for it. but i also know that i can't fall back into my ED and be obsessed with being extremely skinny. i think i'm at a healthy point right now and i have a good relationship with food and i don't want to disturb that in any way.
@amandarisdal
@amandarisdal Жыл бұрын
I’m glad I was able to make you feel not alone, it’s really rough to deal with these things. When I first started weight training I was so confused because everyone seems to be doing bulking and cutting but I didn’t see that as healthy for me personally. It may be easier to gain muscle overall, but it can be a mentally taxing process that not all of us are comfortable with. For me, I’m okay with gaining muscle more slowly, to not damage my mental health about my body. I want it to be the most positive experience as possible. If your trainer wants you to bulk more than you’re comfortable with, then maybe bring it up to them and tell them what your personal goals are. Most of the time it is the relationship with food that is the most important thing so I’m very happy you are able to have that for yourself. At the end of the day, it’s up to you how you want your fitness journey to be!

The older I get the more I don’t care about a specific body type. I lift weight because I want to become strong and be able to go upstairs when I’m 80. I train cardio because I want to be able to be fit for playing with my kids. I eat healthy to prevent my body from any kind of diseases. these standards/ trends are changing every 3-10 years so you can never win anyways. Try to become healthy and fit instead to look in a certain way or comparing yourself with unrealistic unhealthy beauty standards. You become less cruel to yourself and it feels so much better and peaceful. ❤

Hi how much cereal do you mix for how much milk? Thanks!
@amandarisdal
@amandarisdal 2 жыл бұрын
I believe I did 1 or 2 tablespoons of cereal (atleast in the beginning) and then added an 1-2oz of milk depending on how thick I wanted it. I slowly mixed the milk in to avoid making it too liquid. Eventually it becomes second nature and I didn’t have to measure anything out but if there’s recommendations on the package that came in handy as well! :) hope this helped I’m kinda bad at explaining things

Thank you! I only I have one child. I dont plan on having any for right now, but if my husband and I ever decide to, it may be later on in life considering we are so young and have time. I don't wear the typical bras with sizes but my measurements were 32 under bust and 38 bust. Technically that is a 32f size. I gained around 30 lbs which is approximately 13.6 kilos I believe.

You look really good for a postpartum mum! congrats! Just wanted to ask since not all moms experience additional breast growth while postpartum. What cup size were you before birth? Has it grown any larger now that you are lactating?
@amandarisdal
@amandarisdal 3 жыл бұрын
Yes! Bra sizes are strange to me so I’ll just give you the measurement. My band was a 28in before pregnancy and my bust was 36in before pregnancy. So it was technically a 28h. Then during pregnancy my band grew (rib cage expanded) to 32in and my bust to 38in so then I was a 32f. Then after I had him my rib cage went back to normal. I’m pretty much the same bra size that I was before I was pregnant, maybe a cup size larger. When my milk first came in my breasts were 39in but now that my milk has regulated I’m not engorged anymore
