Little tip to stop it leaking while your making the lines. Get a bar to keep the brake pedal pressed halfway it will close the valve in the abs pump and saves the mess.
@zeeRoosterАй бұрын
Or you can make a few lines with different fittings and flatten the end of the copper pipe so it doesn't leak and you can screw them into whatever you want to stop leaking while you work

Very cool project with with the M44 motor. I love these motors as the S42 race motors were based on them around 1996 - 1997. Your build also reminds me about the Class B SATCAR 318i that Dawie De Villiers drove in SATCAR. And wasn't the Hein Lategan Beeld sponsored 318i in touring cars also running a modified M42 or M44? Not with throttle bodies though, but a Pair of Weber 48 DCO's if my memory is not failing me, allegedly making 200kw according to a 1996 article in Topcar magazine.
@ssbb_builds2090Ай бұрын
Wow, that’s amazing. I don’t think we will get to those power figures because it’s not super high end build but I am super excited to see what we get. It’s a fantastic little motor and should give us plenty of joy 🙏🏻 Thank you so much for watching and all the support 🙌🏻
@MLC...Ай бұрын
@@ssbb_builds2090 I am sure the Lategan car must have had a reasonable budget, as 200 kw does not come cheap, but it shows you what a privateer can do if funding allows. But those old school Webers just make me grin here. But, best of luck with your build, I am looking out for that episode, I cannot wait!

Thank you for this. I had my engine rebuilt, and since then, I get an orange oil pressure warning light, and then valve tappet noise. I replaced all of the tappets and the noise persisted. Just bought the tensioner kit, and also the pressure regulator spring. Do I need to take the engine out, or can this be done without removing the engine? Thank you! Mine is 1999 E46 323i (M52TU).
@ssbb_builds20902 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching. I would say make sure the oil pressure sensor and wiring is working properly. If the oil light is on that is big problems. I would say that needs to be checked properly. The engine doesn’t need to come out but it is a very gin job to do it in the car. You can do it in the car though.
