I am a patriotic American, but I understand this song because I ain’t never been there. I ain’t never touch that sand but it’s where my family came from and it makes me who I am. One day I will touch that sand. Amazing song.

Coñooo brother, here I am crying like a baby at 11:59 PM on a Friday evening listening and watching the video of this song. I had to leave my motherland 18 years ago to give my children a better future and to help my family as best as I could. Both my parents are in heaven now and I still have my two only sisters back in Cuba. I love America and I will always be grateful for welcoming us here, but Cuba is deep inside my heart forever. Long live Cuba! Cubano 100%!

This song hits hard. I left Cuba 55 years ago when I was a small child and have never returned. When I was in my 30s and 40s I used to think that one day I might be able to return to a free and democratic Cuba. As I get older (now in my 60s) I don’t believe that will ever happen. Cubans have a saying; “No hay mal que dure 100 años ni cuerpo que lo resista”. This tragedy is on its 65th year with no end in sight. It’s in the hands of GOD and the Cuban people. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 🇺🇸🇨🇺🇺🇸🇨🇺🇺🇸🇨🇺🇺🇸🇨🇺🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Terrible. I was born of Cuban parents. My Sisters, Brothers, Cousins, all were born in Cuba. I'm the only one that wasn't. The only ABC is me.(American Born Cuban). My Mom was raised in Miramar, Havana. She would cry when they showed pictures of a dilapidated Cuba. She died 2019 never seeing her land again, My Dad also. SAD! I'm going someday, IDK when pero algun dia. PATRIA Y VIDA

I fled communist Cuba at 15, I'm now 66, and I cried like that 15-year-old child when I left my motherland hearing your song. Thank you for keeping her in my heart and soul alive, always. Blessings. 😭🙏
