This brings up some amazing memories. Great video. I have a complete timelapse of my bot which I will publish over the next month or two. For anyone interested. Also going to release my bot Source along with my "Final Version" that also makes use of the Snowball (which I just did not get around to). It was a great challenge.

Hi Darktrace42, There will be a runner-up prize of an XBox 360 including accessories and games, well as tickets to Rage Expo for all finalists. Finalists will also feature in our press post-mortem of the competition. We'll also be putting up a live online test-harness before 1st September which will allow you to test your AI player against a simple reference player, to work out the kinks and make sure your entry works. All the best and we look forward to seeing your entry!

Looks like a very interesting competition, but why only 1 prize? It seems like a very closed competition and hard for less experienced people to compete it when there is no way to test your AI properly against others. Going to enter anyway though. :)
