mile 2 8:57, were you really running 9' per mile? You mentioned a 75s PB but not your actual time (unless I missed it), also difficult to hear when you were in the airport?

@@edwardaustin6410 Yep! Was running 9 min miles as a recovery run, keeping things light given this was only 2 days after the half- Recovery and easy runs are an effort not a pace! My official time was 65:23. Thanks for the comment on the audio- still trying to get that right at times

I really like the nb4 for cushioned daily to easy paced runs. Ive only done 150 miles so far as I've been finishing off a pair of Ride 15s too. However i am sorely tempted to pick another pair up if the nb5 is a lot softer, as the early reviews suggest.

I don’t have any experience with ultra marathon distances but I’d imagine you’d want the comfiest shoe possible that doesn’t cause any blisters or rubbing issues. I’ve had no issues with the novablast 4’s for my 2 hour + long runs and with the bouncy foam with decent stack I could foresee these being a great shoe that doesn’t completely break the bank for an ultra marathon

loosening the laces near the toes can really help widen the feel of some shoes and definitely recommend doing it for the novablasts if you have a wider forefoot. I’ll try to make the video louder in future!

Nice review man, I liked the ride of the novablast 4 but they ran too narrow for me. Also, I'd appreciate it if you higher the volume of the video since its pretty quiet :)

Personally i find running cross country in the UK super easy, but that's just because I'm a pro at the end of the day, when all is said and done. However, I do thrive much more when I run USA courses but that's just because I'm fuelled by pop tarts and pb and jelly sandwiches xxxx

Top video Ed - really interesting. I always wonder where the mud and hills are when watching US XC! Looks very different to the races I've run. I'd be really interested to hear your take on training in the US compared to the UK - how different is it. Also, on the frequency of races for college athletes in the US and the US student experience compared to that in the UK. 🙌
