Do people living in New York City really call their hometown "NYC" because it sounds so strange. You really are a quiet, calm vlog narrator and, like others, I very much appreciate that. Thank you so much for this excellent look at NYC book stores. I've subscribed. Edited to add that I crave that Ruth Bader Ginsburg tote.

One comment: It's odd that you refer to New York so often as "NYC." Nobody does that.

I read the first book last Halloween and liked it. I wish I would've discovered this series as a kid/teen. It would've been 100% my thing back then, but I'm still interested, especially after watching you hype it. Going to read a bunch of the books this October. They feel very Halloweeny to me 💀🔥

You don't have to throw away a book just because you wrote a lot of annotations in it! It could be sold as "good" or "acceptable" condition (depending on the amount of writing), and there's definitely a high chance that someone wouldn't mind the annotations if the book was free :)

That red library looked like one of the newer ones you can buy that are made out of recycled plastic. The Little Free Library people started making them out of plastic so they won't rot.

I read the first book when I was in primary school and absolutely fell in love with the characters. Playing with fire was out at that point and I didn’t stop pestering my parents until they’d gone out and picked up a copy for me. Every since then I’ve bought the new books on release. They’ve such a delight and escape and have helped me through what at times was quite a messy childhood. The characters feel like friends I’ve grown up with and every betrayal, loss, defeat or victory resonated on a deep emotional level. I love these books. My favourite moments are the scenes from the perspective of full-power Darquesse. They make you feel so powerful and fearless no matter what’s going on in the world.
