Since you’re “black” (like me) you have to be thoughtful about removing the hair. I believe trimming the little I had hair back there is what caused this for me. We get ingrown hairs easily if hair is cut to short or removed from the root.

I’ve been dealing with this for the past couple years. The key is managing it. Just put a little Triple antibiotic (with pain relief) gel on it regularly. That kinda keeps it dormant and kills the flare ups.

What hair texture do you have? I’m really thinking about doing my own after combing my last set of locs out but idk if my 3b hair will comply 😭

While I am not socially anxious, I do have general anxiety and my mind is never really empty, quiet, or at peace. While I function completely fine outside and am a very outwardly confident person, my personal life and personal relationships have been hard to maintain because of my mood and anxious feelings. Today I just felt so consumed with thoughts that I couldn’t control and didn’t want and felt so fed up with constantly experiencing this that I just cried. I cried and began to ponder if I need to get on anxiety medication after years of ongoing therapy. So, I came to YT and searched “anxiety medication journey”. I found your video and watched it while I took a shower and cried some more. Our story isn’t the same, but it’s comforting to know that medication just might help.

Thank You for this video !💝 I refuse to get the surgery as well seems pointless for them to cut a chunk out of my body just for it to come back anyway. I’ve only had 2 really bad flare ups in my 9 years history of dealing with with the cyst. My first flare up was brutal! I couldn’t stand straight up at all let alone sit normally. The shot in my butt was easily one of the most painful things I’ve experienced in my life! The lancing wasn’t bad after the numbing but the feeling of having a hole inside of you felt extremely weird and uncomfortable. I didn’t have a flare up for a long time after maybe a few years. Since then Ive only had one very bad flare up I was lucky enough to have drain on its own which was not painful at all just very disgusting visually and aromatically. Since the last time it mostly comes back in a very mild fashion and then passes after a week or so I’d say it flares up once every 45-90 days. It mainly just annoys me during my workouts especially when I do core. I’ve been trying to correlate the flare ups to something. It could definitely be having sedentary lifestyle as well as your diet. I tend to flare up when I’m not eating right/eating late or if I drink a lot I noticed

Lexapro isn’t something you can take occasionally. It’s a DAILY medication. After going through insane withdrawal from Lexapro, there’s no chance of being naive and having an on/off relationship with Lexapro.

I tapered off of 10mg. Not too crazy of a dosage. I tapered off and it has been ROUGH. No doctor ever mentioned it nor gave pre-taper advice about it. I’m not very religious, but I hope any of you going through this keep it steady and you get through.

When should the training start?

I was on Lexapro for 30 years. I should never have been on it that long. It took me 8 mos to stop taking this drug and still had withdrawals after that. This drug long term can damage the neurotransmitters in your brain. If you can find another way, I recommend dont. I tried and submitted my life to God and Yeshua the Christ. It made a huge difference.

How long did it take for it to heal?

I know one thing about schnauzers, they are completely lovable. I lost my first one in February at 16 and a half years old. My second girl is 15 months old I adore that breed of dog.

Omg this is so helpful. I am 62, and have experienced this since May of this year. I have had treatment of antibiotics, and it returned a couple weeks after completing the meds. Went back to the doctor and they lanced it and gave more antibiotics, it went away then returned and was given a third round of antibiotics. Finally, so frustrated embarrased and in pain I cried to my doctor and was sent to a surgeon, that said I didnt need surgery. After four months of continuos open wound, I was sent back to a surgeon this time a female. She has scheduled me for January, yep January from May 2024, to January 2025. I have been so miserable that I welcome the pros and cons of the surgery at this point, as i am at my wits end. I am retired Sedentary lifestyle, likes to travel, long flights, and work part time as a security dispatcher {long 12 to 18 hour days}. Sorry to be so long, the doctors told me this was a issue of younger ppl, and mostly males which really emotionaly made me feel bad, So thank you so much, I cried tears of releif seeing your video, and to know I am not alone. Thank You!!

I had one when I was a teenager mine was infected the doctor gave me some pills doctor didn't cut it out because it will come back but I took vitamin c 1000 and dove body wash and it healed on it own

I had surgery 8 years ago and my cyst never cameback like it used to, but in the last 4 years sometimes it starts hurting where i have the scar and when that happens i can see a little hole down there and it drains by itself. I think its that little hole that prevents from getting infected like it used too. its weird because i cant see nothing when it happens now, just feel discomfort. I hope it doesnt get worst than this because i cant imagine having to go through surgery again... this is a curse .
