10 years of plush making and I never thought of using paper towels to make my patterns! That's so clever. I've been buying cheap fabric or using old sheets or leftover scraps, but paper towel seems so much more user friendly because it obviously won't fray or stretch!

Hi! I've been thinking of buying the pattern to make this little guy but i have a question, What size of eyes do you use for the life size version?
@dollphinwingАй бұрын
Hello, to make the lifesize version you scale the pattern 150% and this will require eyes that are about 2 inches tall. If you get the embroidery files from me, I have that size included.
@Yoshi12-GtАй бұрын
@@dollphinwing Thx! Definitely gonna buy the patterns and embroidery files now

What kind of stitch do you use to sew on the head to the doll/plushie?
@dollphinwingАй бұрын
A ladder stitch
@TheNewKombatMasterАй бұрын
@@dollphinwing Thanks. Sorry, Typo, I meant to say hair. What stitch do you use to sew the hair onto the head of the doll/plushie? Same thing, ladder stitch?
@dollphinwingАй бұрын
@@TheNewKombatMaster Yes, or a whip stitch is a little easier and faster. Ladder stitch to sew it down in certain areas of the face as needed.

I wonder what happened to the rights to this IP? Ed Annunziata doesn't seems to be holding them, maybe they are in limbo, like a lot of earlier video game whose companies went defunct. I kinda wish he would release a new Ecco game both as homage to the previous ones, and to wrap up everything about those games.
@dollphinwing2 ай бұрын
@@marcoelhodev Pretty sure Sega still owns it and won't let it go. If I'm not mistaken, Ed did do a Kickstarter for a spiritual successor, but it was not successful.

hi! first of all, the dolphin was super cute! i have a question about sizing-- would i be able to use a really large machine (with like a 12x12 inch embroidery area) to do something similar but on a larger scale? thank you!
@dollphinwing4 ай бұрын
Yes, you can use any size hoop you want! If using an existing design, I believe you can scale it in a program or on the machine itself. If you get a file from my store, I would probably re-size it for you just to make sure the stitching doesn't get wonky. Let me know if you ever need it :D

Screen monitor settings and the type of fabric you print on can make colors look different. That's why it's important to get the colored swatch sets or do testing to get it as close to accurate as possible <3
