It was a super interesting change where they made Sam younger and deaf. If anything, it made me love him more and became more emotional when the ending came. The interactions between him and Ellie remained unchanged so it wasn’t a huge deviation, but a welcome one.

I enjoyed this movie quite a bit as a comedy. The silliness worked for me. Gorr was cool, and like you said I found him compelling, but he was a little underused. I liked Mighty Thor a lot and thought Natalie Portman was great. She was a bit of a show stealer for me.
