lol. I know right! All 90s videos had the thunder and lightening or the “orange hue” affect”. lol. Now I’m going to go back and watch the video. Thanks my friend.

@ I love it. his career was interesting. Enough can’t be said for the production, big ups to Kyle West. It’s so difficult to find your footing after such a smash hit like “Nite and Day”, but this song seems like a mature sequel to it. You always have me back in my memories. My mom was telling me how the awards show back in 1989 had Al B Sure, Karyn White, Bobby Brown and so many more in one place. Their generation was spoiled. I appreciate how you feature songs from that golden era, it truly left an indelible mark on our culture - tv shows, movies, fashion, even how people talk. Please feature some Christopher Williams!

Literally the most beautiful version of Rain I've ever heard
@LarryOnKeys29 күн бұрын
The beautiful thing about this progression, is that you can also use it to play "Be Alone" by Tevin Campbell and "The Many Ways" by Usher. Al B did a trifecta when he produced these. Fire playing
@BlackShopan29 күн бұрын
@@LarryOnKeys …agreed! I’ve always been a fan of Al B and Kyle West chord progressions. Just something as simple as flatting the 5th Ion G9th chord sonically just takes the song some place else. Also very characteristic of 90s R&B. Harmonies were much richer back then in my opinion.

Hope your doing well quick question love the videos by the way! Wanted to know when you said you pursued music in college did it become your career/ full time job or did you always do something else and music on the side just curious ?
@BlackShopanАй бұрын
Hey my friend. My story is all over the place. LOL. I started off studying law, had no formal training in music, but was self-teaching myself the piano. I taught myself music theory, how to read music and chord progression. I didn’t have a piano at home, so I spent a lot of time in the music department on their pianos. A music student heard me playing and suggested I become a music major, and I did. I switched from law to music. It was then I learned classical music (Chopin, Bach, Beethoven….etc), studied music composition, music history, orchestration, etc. I received my associates degree piano performance and got a scholarship at numerous four-year universities for music. I was gigging a lot, teaching piano, and doing odd-music jobs, but after a semester at my four-year I got tired of being broke. So, I changed my field of study once again. This time from music to accounting, but I kept music as a minor. I got my Bachelor and later MBA in accounting and also became a CPA. I still kept up my playing which is something I still continue to do. If you are willing to put in the grind and practice relentlessly, then music is definitely a rewarding field to study. Dedication and practice are the KEY. :)
