We succeeded in making a portable machine capable of meeting or surpassing the cracking and shelling quality of our competitors at less than half the cost, weight, and floor space. Simplicity of design and operation conceals the enormous expense of designing, prototyping, laboratory testing, waterjet cutting, bending, welding, powder coating, mold making, material selection, vacuum and pressure pot plastic molding with steel inserts, machining, and final assembly. God has blessed me with the ability to bring this machine to market at a cost that pays for itself for those willing to purchase.

No. Australia power is 230 volt 50 Hz. Our machine requires 115 Volt 60 Hz. To use it in Australia you will need a suitable power supply such as a gasoline powered generator capable of supplying a minimum of 720 Watts continuous. A voltage transformer alone is not suitable. Video of unconditioned pecans will not represent average results and will be misleading. There is too much variability. Moisture content, shell thickness, hardness, tightness, size, and shape vary widely. Some varieties will do quite well with no conditioning while others will not. The Krak-N-Blow will crack all varieties tested with or without conditioning. The percentage of undamaged kernels is higher on many varieties if preconditioned. Some users never precondition and obtain satisfactory results that exceed the shelling quality of other traditional cracking and shelling equipment.

Sorry, walnuts cannon be used with this machine.

I steam them for 6 minutes in a seafood cooker outside to soften the kernel to lessen breakage.

Ok, do you suggest letting them dry before storing?

Boil them or steam? I have a riser for my pot that will keep the pecans out of the water. Think this will work?

@@brucehayes5111 yes. I let them dry over night under a fan. I have a moisture tester and get them below 4% before storing them in a freezer in a zip lock bag. Usually they test around 3%.
