What about mentioning Manson? What does anyone think about that? Was it a direct shot at his weird evil ass?

Almost went away a couple weeks back..... This song started blasting as I ate a panzorotti, which I thought would be my last meal. This song couldn't stop repeating in my head as I walked to my parents place... instead of where I had planned. Thanks for the song friends, it literally saved my life.

I first discovered this song in 2019 when I was just 17. Then in 2020 I lost my grandma, a young cousin who was my age, my senior year of high school was ripped away, I dealt with family rifts, falling out with friends, and on top of all that was the Covid pandemic. I also started my job that year which was night shift and it has made me unable to attend many get togethers like my parents and I used to go to pre Covid since I sleep during the days. By 2022 my parents and I moved away from the town I grew up in for 20 years and I also dropped out of college. This song was my most favorite in 2019 and number 1 in my playlist, which has changed and evolved since then. So when I say this song gives me a certain feeling of nostalgia is such an understatement. I also am from Minnesota and having to see the riots and cities burn as well as all the social unrest from Covid really was traumatizing and I haven’t been the same since 2020. I’d say I’ve developed this cold unhappy personality but I’ll always enjoy the times I do find joy and happiness since I know they never last long enough

Lyrics… One, two One, two, three, ow Wake up, kids We got the dreamers disease Age fourteen, they got you down on your knees So polite, we're busy still saying please Frienemies, who when you're down ain't your friend Every night we smash a Mercedes-Benz First we run, and then we laugh 'til we cry But when the night is falling You cannot find the light (light) You feel your dreams are dying Hold tight You've got the music in you Don't let go You've got the music in you One dance left This world is gonna pull through Don't give up You've got a reason to live Can't forget We only get what we give I'm comin' home, baby You're tops Give it to me now 4 AM, we ran a miracle mile We're flat broke But hey, we do it in style The bad rich ‘God's’ flying in for your trial But when the night is falling You cannot find a friend (friend) You feel your tree is breaking Just bend You've got the music in you Don't let go You've got the music in you One dance left This world is gonna pull through Don't give up You've got a reason to live Can't forget We only get what we give This whole damn world could fall apart You'll be okay, follow your heart You're in harm's way, I'm right behind Now say you're mine You've got the music in you Don't let go You've got the music in you One dance left This world is gonna pull through Don't give up You've got a reason to live Can't forget We only get what we give Don't let go I feel the music in you Don't let go Fly high, high What's real can't die You only get what you give You're gonna get what you give Don't give up Just don't be afraid to leave Health insurance, rip off lying FDA, big bankers buying Fake computer crashes dining Cloning while they're multiplying Fashion shoots with Beck and Hanson Courtney Love and Marilyn Manson You're all fakes Run to your mansions Come around, we'll kick your asses Don't let go One dance left Don't give up Can't forget Don't let go Source: LyricFind Songwriters: Gregg Alexander / Rick Nowels

The girl I had such an incurable crush on in high school (class of ‘99) adored this guy. Years later, I feel like my adolescent jealously has become appreciation for her good taste at the time. Wherever you are Isabella, I miss our conversations and simpler times…even if you never felt the same way about me as I did about you. Cheers

Did anyone rediscover this song recently and did it save their life? I think I’m a pretty tough individual but this song actually lifted my spirits in a way that I’ve never felt before. Maybe the future isn’t so bleak.
