OG MGS 3 had stylized faces trying to mix the realistic aesthetic with the artwork for the characters IMO, thats why The Boss face looks weird even though it doesnt look bad or too apart from the source material

They nailed Snake's forehead haha. I do prefer the stylized versions of the characters myself, but they're on the right track. It's a little thing, but I can't wait to be able to zoom in on sleeping enemy faces, and little snakes, creatures etc. I used to do that all the time in MGS3. Hell, all the time in MGS1, zooming in on maggots and rats :D

HD Collection? <.< If you have a PC i'd recommend the PS2 emulator, or PC version, but if PS3 is all you have, then I hope you have a complete blast! <3

Im reminded of halo 2 "remake" while the new cutscenes looked amazing, the lip syncing was awful because they kept in the original voice overs

It looked okay in the traller here at the end, but with luck, they made sure to match the lips. Funny enough, MGS2 and MGS3's lip sync were wild for the English dubs. But I agree with the thoughts on the gameplay. If the game gives you new abilties, but the enemies aren't redesigned to deal with them, it runs risk of beinga Twin Snakes problem. Still a day one for me, I need to know just how it plays. That first roll will either feel just at home, or completely foreign.

@@MrBirdistheword444 it’s how they looked in the original. They mix the models with the game artwork and are applying that here too it seems. Or maybe it’s just because it’s a trailer and not the full thing yet, we have no release date after all so tweaks can still be in the works

Come to think about it in reality it screwed her life after she had bad relationships. I'm more hopeful now than I was before this gameplay released. SH1-3 are some of my fave horrors, so expectations are high. I recommend you play the originals if you haven't.

that widescreen hack definitely has an effect on the ocelot fight, theres no way i could see ocelot on the far side of the room way back

Checking other peoples videos, I can certainly see him more clearly, but it doesn't seem to affect the fight. Later in the playthrough I have to go into first person view for a moment in the Sniper Wolf fight because ammo won't respawn while i'm able to see everything on screen. So, a few draw backs on the core gameplay do happen in widescreen, but not many. Mostly just art direction takes a little hit in certain ways.

@@AloversGaming yeh might have been just because i was a kid when i was playing but there was no way i was attempting a diagnoal shot through the center of that boss field. Instead i just ran round with my pistol raised until i had line of sight on him. stood out a mile away on this replay. (although not complaining!)

As a big survival horror and Silent Hill fan, I have high expectations of both desiring a good game, and expecting this remake to fumble hard, but after this gameplay, I find myself a little more open.

Description needs to be updated to match title and part number, just a heads-up! So in Twin Snakes, just before the Meryl getting shot cutscene (a miracle she survived it BTW, I respect her so much for it and how much of a badass she became in MGS4), I tried running straight through the mines like you did, and got blown up JUST before the cutscene started. Then after the cutscene, I died running back towards that same mine you ran into XD. Comedic as fuck. Way to kick the torture sequence's ass on Hard! AGE HASN'T SLOWED YOU DOWN ONE BIT!!!!! Regarding Miller's "That road leads to madness, believe me", that depends on who he's saying that as, Miller or Liquid... I think it's a great idea revisiting games you previously did playthroughs on; it gives new viewers an idea of what your channel's about and your interests and whatnot. I still plan to revisit some of my old camcorder playthroughs at some point, quality could definitely use an upgrade XD. This whole video perfectly encapsulates all the shit you have to go through JUST to get INSIDE the Communications Tower. It's essentially the wall you hit trying to cross over between the first and second half of the game, and that's one tall wall xP.

Ohh, perhaps the mines are in different places in TS? Or maybe the range of the mines is larger. Snake's body seems bigger, so maybe they're similar, but Snake has a wider mass that gets hit. I wasn't ready for the torture. I forgot it was hard mode. Just happy I made it out of that without screwing up the escape and having to do it again before Grey Fox decided to save my ass. Returning for more YT playthroughs on older runs is going to be a joy. I reply games all the time on Twitch, but putting a few on YT will be interesting. Who knows how many times i'll return to some of them if there's a good challenge idea or something on my mind. I always consider running up there tower where the game begins feeling like Snake is running out of time, things just got way more serious and it's now or never. The tone feels darker, the characters begin feeling vulnerable, the silent moments, the music ramps up on an emotional level. It's all kicking off. Then by time we're on disc 2 the energy feels more sad and desperate for an outcome, with character motives and such revealed.
