Amazing work, who knows, maybe in the future you might be able to get involved into the roller coaster building industry, haha! All serious thought, with this being success there are many other Arrow coasters around the world still in operation and maybe if this proves to be a big success, you might get a calling card to help with the other Arrow coasters and that can only be a good thing! :)

So they build a roof in order to repair the roof? Something a bit barmy going on here.
@Taziker3 жыл бұрын
In a way yes. We have to access the existing roof in order to remove and replace the glazing, so the structure is built underneath so that operatives can work at the higher level safely for the duration of the project. This also allows the station to continue to run as usual without causing disruption to passengers below.

Please don't call it a 'train station', it's always been a 'Railway station'. 'Train station' is an American name, as are 'hood', 'trunk', and 'sidewalk', etc. Until we become the 51st state, and Network Rail becomes 'Network train', I'd prefer to remain British.
@colinrogers61933 жыл бұрын
You're so right, although even the BBC seem to use "train station" more often thsn not.
@danman46333 жыл бұрын
Wish Network Rail would do something about the vegetation infestation on brick structures. Bridges viaducts and supporting walls are being ripped apart by the powerful roots of the Buddlia plant. Only a matter of time before a cutting supporting wall collapses onto the running lines. Failure to sort this problem is going to cost billions.

The Cambrian is a mess. Stations are awful basic unstaffed halts. Linesides are unkempt, as in the track that in many locations look like a field with polished rails through the middle. The useless signalling system ERTMS is a joke, as only class 158s and the 4 class 97s can use the line! No specials, no steam, no freight! A complete shaddow of it's once glorious self! No inspiration from NR to want to improve things either or make anything of probably the most scenic route in the UK!!! Come on NR, get rid of the ERTMS(as we aren't even in Europe anymore) so the system is pointless! Get a system in use where railtours, steam & diesel, and freight can return, bringing much needed revenue to the area. At present,and until things change, there is no incentive to visit the line by rail. Thanks, a 46 year career railwayman.
@thomasoakleyderbyshire97613 жыл бұрын
I know what you mean but I don’t think ERTMS is going anywhere anytime soon as TFW are equipping their new class 197s with it for use on the Cambrian line . Doubt network rail want to spend much money on the Cambrian because they done class it as busy

😂 🙈 To be fair to us, we did this retracking video in 2020, and we did a further 75m this year as it went so well the first time. The fit up to the existing ride was exceptional both times and extensive testing is done by the Pleasure Beach so we're sure you're safe. We've had lots of great feedback from riders both times. Give it a go standstillphil!

Did they change the geometry for a smoother ride? Or just do a carbon copy? I've always felt as if the big one had two much of a steep corner in the turns and you felt as if you were getting tipped out thenside of the car instead of glued to your seat by the g-force

I think Taziker are bound to ‘put shareholders first’ (not passengers) for if I am not mistaken they are a commercial enterprise. Mind you it is nice to hear travellers referred to as ‘passengers’ rather than ‘customers’ (which was misleading terminology). Best of all is that this route survives and is being renovated 🙂

Where a business in concerned profits always come before safety just there is this thing called health and safety which ensures that safety comes before profits, but I sort of agree I think it`s one of the top theme parks in the country.

@@arranmelaugh5606 was it just me or is Icon rubbish? It's very slow for a launch coaster let alone a double launch coaster. It has no look the loop, no vertical up or downs. It just spends the whole time going left and right. The Big One is FAR FAR better! Amd it's from the 90's.
