Very beautiful mountains. What is the height of the mountain you showed?
@SriAbeywickrema13 күн бұрын
Thanks - It's 1,935m but we climbed to a height of 1,870m only. There are 2 other smaller mountains at 1:21 you can see to the left and in front. I managed to climb those two as well. Videos will come online later.

It was very nice to see this video. I went there a long time ago and had the same situation. Covered by bushes, I had to clean it. It's interesting to see that you came after me and looking for this place.

Yep - I heard about it and went in search one day. It was tough finding it as even the nearby residents in the estate weren't aware of it. Fortunately, one person who works in one of the comms towers knew and we managed to clear and find it after a lot of effort. This has offered some grand views towards Diyatalawa but the trees have now grown blocking it. From what I heard, during Colonial-era and pre-1970s, superintendents of the estate had kept those trees trimmed down so that they could enjoy the view from here. Now, nearby Nayabedda View Point is mistaken for St. Catherine's Seat which is not correct.

@SriAbeywickrema same happens with Samimale Rock Temple Viewpoint. Overhead of Dambatenne tea factory. Some people don't know Samimale, so they gave a new name. Dito Surungamuni Viewpoint at Haputale Peak.

Yes you're right - Planning on getting one soon. Until then I'm trying to use a clean rocky slab as much as possible but it wasn't possible here.

Ture that - Guess they had to build certain things to facilitate the insane number of people visiting during the season, especially on weekends.

Still pretty strong despite being more than 100 years old. Inspections are happening to ensure the safety coz it's a major tourist attraction.

Allowing too many people on the bridge is not advisable....its an old bridge...too.
Bro, nice information with detailed descriptions of every aspect to cover. Nice vlog and it is a demo tour for visitors. Can u please provide or make videos of connecting bus stations and others aspects
@SriAbeywickremaАй бұрын
Thanks - It wasn't easy getting permission to do this. Rather unfortunate tourist destinations like these are not properly revealed to the visitors or allowed for us to record and share. Anyway, about your request, not sure if I can make a video anytime soon but happy to share any info you need. Just outside the station is Nanu Oya Town with Bus Stop. There are a few buses starting from there to Nuwara Eliya but many buses are available coming from Talawakele and Hatton connecting Nuwara Eliya.
