Great work, as always. Question: Did you get a backup generator just in case, or did you find out you needed one...the Hard Way?

Always love how you walk us through your process, Nate. And as an aside, that pre-press guy you mentioned in the intro sounds like he really knows his stuff! 😜

Illustrator actually has a Links panel where you can relink the image without the need to unlock and lock back the Art layer. I use it and is much faster even when I create the files at the beginning, so it just replaces the previous page without the need of centring the art again.

Really liked Issue #1. Looking forward to reading the next one. I’m curious about the Black Box Prison intro panel (page 5-ish). Was the zigzag before “Are you about to bestow me with that which I requested?” Intended to indicate the conversation is being recorded or being monitored by someone? I’m guessing it would be Scalpel or possibly The Action. I’m not noticing anything that indicates that though.

Out of curiousity, why not use the Touch Type Tool to move the individual letters? It almost looks like you simply Create Outlines and then moved each individual letter. Is this just a preference?
@blambot_fonts3 ай бұрын
You're going to need to convert live text to outlines to add some effects anyway.

Nate is it ok to do this on Photoshop? I also would like to know about this pack of ballons and tails. That make things faster. Is it a pack we can download?

Sound effects are the bane of my existence. I love them in comics, but as a Letterer, they cause me no end of grief. Trying to always come up with interesting fonts or unique ways of showing the effects. Ugh. Stresses me out every time.

Hi Blambot! I am an indie comic book writer from Macedonia! I want to get into lettering so I can do the lettering for my comics. I’ve learnt alot from you (THANKS!), but there is this one thing I just can’t get right, which is the bubbles to look good. I see that you already have a huge preset for them, do you sell/give that out, or maybe you have a lesson on how to make them look like that?

I always miss a few of these myself and it's something editors always call you out for. I grabbed one of these "auto" fonts from Blambot a while back and makes a HUGE difference to my work. Not making such obvious mistakes with handlebars makes your lettering look way less amateurish to publishers.
