Mr. Twerp taught me, an adolescent boy, an essential life truth: boys think the 3 Stooges are funny, girls do not. After taking in the morning SBT I would attempt to mimic a 3 Stooges bit, maybe at lunch or on the bus. Boys cracked up, girls sat stone faced. Mr. Twerp (Camfield) was one of my primary mentors. With his influence, together with Mr. Python, Mr. Carlin and Mr. Brooks, I cobbled together a 35 year career in theatre. The most crucial lesson he imparted was that if you want an audience to laugh, you have to take the comedy entirely seriously. So I’m glad to see him get this recognition.

I grew up in Glenwood Triangle, where 287 runs SE out of downtown. East Vickery and East Lancaster would be the major roads, with Riverside Drive crossing them both. I've lived on all sides of Fort Worth and what a pleasure to see these familiar places and hear stories behind them!

Thank you for presenting this. Any pictoral history of Fort Worth is like a time machine for me. Please continue to produce these. Your video about the Swartz Brothers and their early photography of Fort Worth is one of my favorite videos regarding our great city.

Greetings from 2024. I have thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful and sad true and tragic story. Bravo to the actors. We need more of our history recounted in this traditional fashion. But alas, I don’t see this coming what with our age of instant electronic gratification.

How did they get the granite from Austin to fort worth? Does the trinity river go down there? It doesn’t. They barely even had a train track going from granite mountain to the texas capitol at the time. They had to build the track especially for the granite to be taken to Austin to build the capitol and it seemed like an ordeal. How would they have gotten the granite to Fort Worth? I ask chatgpt and it didn’t have any answers: ChatGPTs answer: “You're correct. I apologize for the oversight. In the late 19th century, when the Tarrant County Courthouse was constructed, there wasn't a direct railroad connection between Marble Falls and Fort Worth. Instead, the granite would have likely been transported using wagons pulled by horses or oxen overland. This would have been a time-consuming and labor-intensive process, but it was a common method for transporting heavy materials over shorter distances before the widespread use of railroads.” So what I’m saying is logistically this doesn’t make any kind of sense cause there’s no way horses or axes are gonna carry granite from Austin to Fort Worth. I’m just kind of piecing together what might’ve actually happened just a thought.

The acting here is really bad. Cynthia become a strong Comanche woman. Had she done an interview, she would not have spoken like that. The acting here sounds like the kidnapping happened last week. Cynthia was 9 when she was taken by the Comanche. Comanche women were strong, not emotinal like this lady is portraying her. I hope that if they ever make a tv series or a movie, they take this into account.

I think the acting is fantastic. What you are saying is that it’s not accurate. You are probably correct however, Cynthia was in fact suffering great and deep depression in her final years and as a result may have spoken in a sad and defeated manor.

Enjoyed this, but I have to disagree with part of what he said at the end. He said that Lee Harvey Oswald just threw his rifle in the backseat to travel with him to work that fateful day and potentially misaligned its site. If the gun was indeed in the car, it was in that package that was wrapped up.

The issue is JFK aides stated the following: Politics and protection do not mix." Yet, the Secret Service did not seal windows in Dallas but, information on Oswald was withheld by the FBI CIA. further the threat that Oswald stated in writing to Hosty was destroyed by superiors in Dallas and Washington . Domestic intelligence Czar William Sullivan was informed about Oswald in Mexico in September 1963 and his visits to the Cuban and Soviet Union . That information was not shared with case officer Hosty who was handling Oswald. Peter Russo

Quanah Parker , her surviving son highly revered his mother . Keeping her picture hung in his room much latter in life. She must have instilled a grand future for her sons in their life’s journey , her knowing both sides of the real struggle of life on both fronts of the plains . The Settlers from whom she was born , to the Comanche tribe from which she had endured but survived with her own determination and fortitude.Even after years of peril it was her new Indian life she tried to escape back too upon her return to her white culture , she was missing her sons , later on in life he went to her gravesite , I’m sure he praised her .
