ITER is a subsidy for advanced industry. How else, other than military projects, can they justify purchasing so many complex parts that need to be so precise? Fusion takes the highest quality energy, electricity, and converts it to the lowest quality energy, heat. The feedstocks are isotopes that require electricity or other high grade energy such as fission derived neutrons, to make and purify. Electricity is used to start the fusion reaction. With the exception of the Helion fusion reactor which gets electricity out directly, thermal energy is the product. Using high quality energy to get low quality energy is going the wrong way. By the time fusion could work, if it ever could, humanity will either be ruined or green energy will have saved us.

We need SO MANY more of these kinds of movies, and fewer dumb action flicks or cheesy romantic comedies. Media has the power to brainwash and propagandize, but it also has the power to undo those harms, to open our eyes instead of lulling us to sleep. Just a few visionaries have managed to accomplish this important work, somehow surviving like parasites for good inside the body of evil, which is Hollywood's unrelenting hunger for bigger profits at smaller costs.

Some go days without ever leaving (insert game world of choice). You couldn't make a similar, relevant film today, the digital world is getting closer and closer to the real one. Clips from the latest games are almost photorealistic. There would be no juxtaposition between the tech images of the forest and the real images of the tech.

One more reason why conservatives should never vote, because they vote from their fragmented two dimensional consciousness that is divorced from the trinity where duality collapses to give birth to the trinity/truth, it is divorced from the teachings of Jesus Christ whose main principle was inclusion of individual difference at the cost of losing the land, house, nation, anything that the ego wants to possess, because the ego has become a prisoner of the aesthetics/materialism, an owner of the illusion and not their inner self. Inclusion destroys that what stands against the greater unity - the source of life, which is the lower impulses of human nature. In other words, inclusion is a passage up the spiral of creation towards the highest potential. Only by losing the sovereign position within the trinity humans can fall into duality, from the 3rd to 2nd dimension, and start fragmenting on the inside through resistance to creation. There is equalty in dignity and balance of power over qualifications as to who is right for the job, because people are discriminated based on their differences due to the master vs slave (two dimensional consciousness) power dynamic, this is why race or gender are emphasized over qualifications as a result of this unconscious discrimination in resistance to inclusion (3 dimensional consicousness). It is not the fault of this ideology, it is the fault of those who are prisoners of the aesthetics, the material world that leads humanity into a machine-like state of existence due to its homogenizing binary view of reality, because what is divided on the inside becomes conquered by the outside, this is how humans gradually lose that what exists beyond those borders/bodies, that inner core some people call soul. This has been so inverted that nationalism tends to take precedence over a human being, borders/bodies over the heart and soul. It is not a coincidence that the word masculine is so close in sound frequency to the word mask and machine, humans are being turned into slaves and machines due to this segregative energy and negative polarization that creates more patterns (masculine/consciousness/light) in the matter (feminine/nature/dark). Those who stand against destruction stand against creation, those who stand against death stand against life. And this is how humans fall deeper into patterns of duality away from the source/God which is pure nothingness/darkness/feminine. Yes creation of the universe is symbolized by the womb, the circle, the image of the earth is a mere microcosm. This is why and how masculine often wages war against the feminine to fall deeper into hellish realms of duality as a result of resistance to death/darikness/destruction/sin/perversion/abortion through laws and rules that prevent the expansion of life through that manifestation of darkness/feminine. It creates more authoritarianism and more control over the mind and body, more false authority/blockage in between the body and the soul. This is how weaponization of the body has been so prevalent during nazism for the purpose of control, because body symbolizes the borders of a nation, the more you affirm the border/body, the more you value the material form, the more you are sacrificing the soul for the body instead of the body for the soul, and this is where inversion happens, where humans no longer reflect the creator, but the false authority of this world. This is how usually religion comes into this. Only when we are no-thing we can be every-thing. This is how consciousness collapses duality and ascends through trinity (mother/father and holy spirit). This happens through the feminine aspect of inclusion and sacrifice. Because the feminine is symbolized by the triangle where all straight lines intersect to create unity/wholeness, on the other hand, the masculine is symbolized by two separate straight lines - number II. It forms patterns in the matter/wholeness. It removes the spirit further away from the source/nothingness. There is a reason why this sitcom was a satire of the western decadence. The majority will love this, but the majority are deeply asleep, and it is the majority that tends to become enslaved, because of their blindness to spiritual physics and how life works.

It'd be funny to tell this casually to someone else at a party :), perhaps that some coffee shops, salons, universities, ..., had this kind of discussions in the past(, perhaps in some places today as well, but only for specialists mostly ignorant of other domains, the "renaissance wo·man" seems mostly a trope of the past). I know that it's an old topic for you but i've only researched it for the first time today ; once again with your videos, it seems/feels important(, not sure if it's in the top 10 of the most important things i know, but it's very probably in the top 50, and thanks to you). My meager knowledge thought of pythagoricians(, it doesn't seem heretic/false to envision numbers/'mathematical/natural laws' as more sacred/perfect/ideal/pure than the rest of reality, i suppose,) and they didn't like sqrt(2), their problem would be solved with finitism and ultra-finitism, as well as the Zeno paradox which proved the logical inexistence of the infinitely small(, in matter and/or time). If Zeno's paradox proved that our reality necessarily has a voxel, then it disproved continuity ; hence, the computer simulations which are ultra-finitist by getting rid of infinites(, Runge-Krutta, Monte-Carlo, ...), or using discrete pixels(, ray tracing, shaders, ...,) may not be fundamentally different from reality, only less precise(, in order to save on 'memory usage'/'time of calculation'/'energy consumption'). The opposition of ultra-finitism on the basis of a continuous reality by classical mathematics may only be based on an unprovable/arbitrary axiom after all, a.f.a.i.k. It seems obvious that mathematical foundations should be as "pure" as possible. A system which doesn't need sets, categories, or homotopies at its base, appears indeed more direct/elegant/true. You're also rejecting proofs by opposition(, e.g., "i've proven that sqrt(2) isn't rational, and a number is either rational or irrational, hence sqrt(2) is irrational"), and i can only love this heightened demand/rigor. You're also stating that it could probably bring results in general relativity and quantum physics, but won't be surprised if i admit once again my useless ignorance here. If you're saying that Einstein himself rejected the geometrical approach of 'spacetime curvature'/'his theory', and that Shrödinger's paradox and the wave function collapse could probably benefit from being rewritten under an ultra-finitist approach(, and treating more correctly non-linear and non-local interactions), then i'm not able to judge, but i could certainly suppose that results would be different with a more "macroscopic" approach, while resolving paradoxes, which seems exciting. Apparently, in mathematics, researchers often stumble at a point when there's a few statements that are undecidable, and ultra-finitism could prevent that. ChatGPT agrees that Godel's incompletness would completely disappear, as well as the paradox of Banach-Tarski(, by rejecting the axiom of choice), and also the Russel paradox ! Isn't that more than enough proofs that the ultra-finitists are onto something ? It also add the paradox of Cantor(, "consider a set S, the 'power set'/'set of all subsets of' S has a strictly greater cardinality than S itself"), and Burali-Forti(, "suppose S the set of all ordinals -> S is an ordinal by definition(, being a well-ordered set) -> Hence, S have to be an ordinal greater than every ordinal in S"), and certainly other explorations of infinity. You're adding that the ordinal analysis, which deals with infinite hierarchies and transfinites concepts, would also be incompatible with an ultra-finitist approach. The infinite concatenation of strings also seems to cause paradoxes(, e.g. the paradoxes of Richard, Berry, Tarski, the Library, ...) This approach may be much more known&used in the future ; after all, the current paradoxes are indeed solved. I don't know if you're publishing scientific papers, but perhaps you could&should(, if you feel like playing a part in accelerating towards 'this transition'/'something truer'). I have a question if you've got the time, but i.d.k. anyone who knows about economy : According to 'modern monetary theory'/'post-chartalism', or simply common logic, the monetary mass increases when a bank emits a credit, or when the Treasury emits a debt obligation. Sure, we may be talking about a secondary market for the latter, but in the end you can still exchange a debt obligation for money and it isn't subject to inflation like, say, a car, so for me it increases the monetary mass. Hence, having a deficit creates inflation. Destroying debt obligations without paying back would lead to deflation. Destroying debt obligations while keeping "magically" the bank's account of the creditor at the same number as if s.he sold the debt wouldn't create inflation nor deflation. Similarly, the central bank could print money to buy these debts and then destroy them, and the monetary mass would stay the same. Finally, in the case of quantitative easing, the central bank print money to buy these debts and then keep them in circulation, which creates inflation. If that's true then the debt isn't a problem right ? We just have to order the central bank to buy our debt and destroy these obligations afterwards ? I don't see the issue and, while it's totally unrelated to "your" mathematical revolution, it also seems kinda important if confirmed. Thanks :) !

When it comes to physics, I would say the assumption of spacetime is the problem. Reality may not be discrete nor infinitely discrete ("continuous"). What's ironic is that there is more truth to "infinite-dimensional" QFT that is being obscured by a PREMATURE idea of quantization, which is based on a bogus interpretation of measurement. The mass gap is not a problem using the continuous classical field equations of QFT, neither are entanglement nor superposition. Continuous math is simply the degenerate case of discrete analysis, so it arises where there is more simplifying symmetry. What we know right now is that the degrees of freedom in nature are unbounded but not necessarily infinite. It's actually better to use the classical field equations because they more closely approximate reality, a field ontology. In other words, we can describe nature with "continuous" descriptions that allow arbitrary resolution (decimal points). Quantum computers are absurd, seen from this perspective. As for MMT, talking about debt really misses the point. Public debt can crowd out private investment and lower growth rates. If fractional reserve banking and the printing press are involved, the result will inevitably be inflation. Remember, there are two sides to every trade. Banks borrow short to lend long and lend at a fraction of quality assets. They can also borrow reserves from the central bank and the central bank can monetize public or private debt. These things increase the total money versus goods in the economy. The only way that debt doesn't become a problem is if the debt holder doesn't get paid. There is no escape from this physics of exchange.

It was funny because you've hidden your videos a few days after i downloaded them(, in 2017(2016?)), and i was unsure if 'it was because of me'/'you noticed it somehow' ^^. Just for the record : you're the only account(, if i remember correctly,) that i'm following with a few (dozen of )views, and also the only one on twitter/𝕏 that i've systematically screenshotted entirely like i did, it's not an habit of mine, just that 'you seems&are awesome'/'i can only love that/you(, am still straight tho^^)' ! I've always postponed the time for me to truly understand what you were saying(revealing), and even if i think that everyone should aim to be like you, i'm at the same point in my life than i was ten years ago, only even more late, so i don't intend to give these topics the attention they deserve. Now that the ~necessary introduction is done, back to being serious. And even your answer to a random comment is ultra-dense, it's obvious that you clearly have a lot to say. While it's far from your only topic i wonder if you ever seriously thought of a book(, if only to help you arrange your thoughts, since our current society 'wouldn't be interested'/'has other things/problems in mind'). - reality may not be discrete nor continuous : I don't know how, except as an intermediate between the most extreme acceptions of both ; if so, it's indeed important to point out that there's more than finitism and ultra-finitism on one side, and continuity on the other. This sentence made me think of the aspect of God as the Alpha, which may not be the Beginning nor the Eternal but a third/fourth/.. thing, or when Spinoza pointed out that humans only have access to the material and ideal world but others may exist(, i know that you're an atheist so... sorry for this example perhaps). It's the same as when i picked the example of sqrt(2) for your refusal of proofs by opposition : there may be a third option that would make the rule "a number is either rational or irrational" false. - You're adding in your answer that the "mathematical artefact" of the wave function collapse isn't linked to measurement, it's just something that we don't know yet, not a real physical phenomenon. At first sight, it seems logical that Bohm thought that hidden variables are yet to be discovered in order to 'explain why'/'predict that' this wave function will result in a thing rather than an other. But yeah, it isn't suddenly decided once observed(, Shrödinger's cat isn't half-dead half-alive). - I didn't know that the quantum field theory uses infinite-dimensional mathematical space, it'd seem suspicious indeed under an ultra-finitist approach refusing to assimilate 'unbounded' with 'infinite'(, e.g., by refusing to use ∞ to express the number of positions that a particle can have), but it also do make sense to consider voxels/'a discrete spacetime' instead of something continuous, and i didn't know here as well that the QFT does both : first via classical partial differential equations, and then by treating the resulting ∞ via normalization techniques. Do you think that ~problematic concepts such as the mass gap, entanglement, and superposition, are inherited from the "partial differential equations" step, and that an ultra-finite approach could lead to a different explanation of the same observations(, hopefully without the paradoxes) ? - I.d.k. how to replace ∞ with "arbitrarily big" in mathematics, but from a layman's point of view it'd seem interesting to try, especially in this case. Would it also render useless the "normalization" step that follows, since no ∞ would appear(, and even perhaps result in a theory more compatible with continuous/classical mechanics) ? - If i understood you correctly, you're also adding that calculations in a so-called "continuous" space only work under the assumptions that we can simplify by symmetry(, i.e. when variations are smooth enough to support a continuous approach)(, e.g.. translation symmetry for the same physical laws across the universe, or temporal symmetry across time) ? (Not sure that it was your point, but )Would such assumption still hold at the Planck scale ? - The granulary scale of such unitary/undivisible voxel at the basis of our reality would also be the kind of context that doesn't allow to « describe nature with "continuous" descriptions that allow 'arbitrary resolutions'/'decimal points' », right(, b.t.w., kinda interesting that ChatGPT cites as examples that the equations of Navier-Stokes can have a higher resolution for turbulences, Maxwell for high-end optic systems, or Einstein's relativity for planet's movements or black holes) ? - Also, is it not monetary creation when banks give a credit, and a monetary destruction when this credit is reimbursed ? Hence, a state deficit would create inflation, and a subsequent deflation when it is reimbursed(, schematically speaking of course) ? Not sure that i've got much to bring you, so we can stop here if you prefer, bye :) Edit : I'd like to know if you received this comment or if it was shadowbanned though, since i'm only seeing this comment in the "most recent" section, and not on p.c.

@@sousmerde2retardataire I simply had too many videos posted, many of rushed quality. It's not the PDEs but the quantization procedures and lattice theory. Consider the idea of bandwidth-limited functions in Nyquist-Shannon sampling theory and you will see the triviality in the distinction between the so-called "continuous" and discrete. Again, continuity is simply the degenerate case, not something different than discrete analysis. QFT only admits something like particles in very basic instances of the theory. It makes me think of the arab peace initiative, endorsed by so many states(, 22, then 57). It seems that Israel doesn't want peace at the cost of its possession of Palestine.
@sousmerde2retardataire8 ай бұрын
On the other side : Israel would still(/'perhaps even more') be unaccepted if it was christian, buddhist, atheist, .... So the Israel government probably do not think that pursuing this path of peace would be enough to be accepted(, and that giving up on the illegally occupied territories would be worthwhile). Also, such period of peace would probably give more time for their enemies to build their strength(, not every anti-zionist has been overthrown yet), since acceptance would be impossible. While it may be possible to be accepted via propaganda(, in theory), it could be easier to give something of equal/’obviously/convincingly superior’ value for Israel(&Palestine). There would still be some unacceptance, since some things can't be bought, but that'd be a starting point for being accepted. Another option would be the destruction of any state that would oppose their will, which is the current plan, however it's the only one pursued, and could work with the previous one. Iran/Syria/Yemen/.. are countries(, Hezbollah, ...) that will continue to be targeted for their anti-zionism, if our finances(/neo-colonialism) allows it, sanctions aren't going to stop as long as they'll want Israel out(/'forever disappeared'). Another option would be to trust the goodwill of their neighbours, with an accurate propaganda, if they go to a lot of interviews and build some kind of friendship, in an ideal world(, religious people are supposed to ‘flee sins’/’adore virtues’). That's also an option compatible with the two previous ones. You may not read this answer, but since other options almost certainly exists, perhaps have you thought of one ? If you want to live in a world without bullshit jobs, you should put your amazing mathematics skills to work and proposed a game theoretic solution towards solving the inefficiency of labor. The purpose of government is to resolve Tragedies of the Commons and Prisoner's Dilemmas, as they relate to society. "Bullshit jobs" exist because employers, employees, shareholders, and investors all have different incentives. The employer wants the employee to work as much as possible for little pay, whereas the employee will try to figure out ways to get paid while doing as little work as possible. This world will never have maximal labor efficiency unless this game theory problem and others like it can be solved. What is your game theory solution towards this major societal problem, Mr. Mathematician?
@matthewcory47332 жыл бұрын
Pigs hitting levers? Game theory is too recursive to work on real humans empirically (do pirates understand backward induction?) but it's not an entirely bad suggestion. However, much of the problem revolves around faulty assumptions. The tragedy of the commons, as Hardin pointed out, simply assumes a commons. A further assumption is that owners are separate from workers, but shareholder capitalism allows them to merge without the socialization of production (think of distributism or a sovereign wealth fund). Another assumption is that inefficient human labor is a bad thing, given that it incentivizes overall efficiency with technology. The simple-minded approaches, such as a negative income tax or Georgist tax on IP and urban property, are a move in the right direction. The most miserable assumption of all is the desire for more in a world of 8 billion people and ecological and material limits. Big problems are rarely reducible to toy models.
@questionablegenius98912 жыл бұрын
@@matthewcory4733 I appreciate the response, but you're over-thinking this. Game Theory is evidently not too recursive to work on real humans since it's used all the time, even if only implicitly. Governments are literally all about game theory. Laws against theft are about disincentivizing people from stealing other people's stuff in favor of producing their own fruits of labor instead. Such a law is a resolution to a Prisoner's Dilemma against stealing other people's belongings, assuming that said law is effectively enforced. Similarly, Georgism is a way of resolving a Tragedy of the Commons regarding land ownership, lest there be private land ownership and inefficient uses of land like what we have today. It's far from being "simple-minded" since most people think Neo-Communism / Socialism is the answer, even though it would make everything even worse, and fail to resolve the root cause of unequal wealth distribution, which is unequal land distribution. It is very unfortunate that the world population is continuing to increase, but nobody is assuming that that would be better, besides foolish Libertarians. It's just that people are having more children because that's what humans evolved to do, and there's no war, disease, or famine to reduce the world population, like it has usually been throughout human history. This world needs eugenic population control if it's going to thrive in the future. And if we're going to be technical, nobody is assuming that owners are separate from workers. It's just that that's how the arrangements usually are, even though many people would like different property arrangements.

@@questionablegenius9891 Circular reasoning doesn't impress me. I have read papers on the empirical evidence for much of game theory and it's not very impressive. Period. Georgism is not "how the arrangements usually are" but that's not an argument against it. Again, the current ideas about "productivity" are contradicting environmentalism in a very deep way. It's not trivial to redefine what it means.
