Didn't mention the different bed lengths that come with different configurations, and how it can impact the length of the vehicle depending on the cab configuration.
@RichmondFordLincoln6 күн бұрын
Bed length availability in regards to cab configuration has changed over the years depending on the model. As this was a general overview video so that would be a lot to cover. But it is understood that a 6.5' bed will equate to a 1.5' increase in truck length over a 5.5' bed no matter the cab configuration.

I just picked up mine about 2 weeks ago. The performance (in sport mode) is surprisingly good. I do miss that V8 sound, though. Suspension is stiffer than I expected, and the turbo lag is not too bad. Driving conservatively, you can push 40mph on the highway and about 28 around town. Driving fun will push you down to <25, which is still not horrible. Some small gripes about the build quality - typical Ford rattles and buzzes from unsecured wires and connectors under the body panels. And while I think the car looks good, every time I see an S550 on the road I am reminded of how much I liked that body style. The S650 looks more like a cross between a Mustang and a Camaro. Best part is the price tag. I paid sticker for mine because I wanted some specific trim, but I found some base Ecoboosts that dealers were willing to part with for only $30k. Considering that you can't even get a Camry for that around here, I think its a steal!

It will take 3 days to charge from 44 miles to 108. That is using a basic outlet. I like it. The Sprinter was quieter inside. My Tundra 2010 was super quiet compared to my 2023 eTransit. So, you will be patient and learn or just stick with gas and carry on. Good luck folks.

What happens if I buy a 2019 today that has Navigation if it expires after 6 years?
@RichmondFordLincolnАй бұрын
Its just the updates that expire. Think of it like a cell phone that stops receiving updates after so many years. This only means that if new roads or addresses are built after the 6 years worth of updates they won't reflect on your navigation map. You can still use navigation as normal after 6 years for those established roads and destinations.

Definitely a shame Lincoln doesn't offer cars anymore. This vehicle is a great example of what could have been. I find the ride better to comparable to many luxury suv's even over broken pavement. Plenty of power making the optional V6 ridiculous but is a great option to have. Hopefully they'll bring these type of vehicles back into their vehicle lineup.

I think I might have the weirdest Ranger. It's a 1990 XLT, but for some reason my grandpa decided to get almost none of the XLT options. It has the 4.0 V6, and the sliding rear window... that's it. The rest of the XLT stuff, such as power windows, power locks, and cruise control... were left out. It's an XLT with manual windows and locks. It has A/C too, so maybe that's an XLT trims feature
@RichmondFordLincoln2 ай бұрын
I'm not sure of the standard features and options on a 1990 Ranger. We as a dealer do not have access to that kind of information that far back. And I as an enthusiast don't know that info either as I was only 4 years old in 1990. You may be able to find out through a search or have to find a historian. Good luck with your Ranger! Happy to hear it is still on the road.
@Enderito2 ай бұрын
@@RichmondFordLincoln apparently the XLT was sliding rear window, power locks, power windows, A/C, and cruise control. My grandpa only did the A/C and sliding window, everything else is from a lower model, despite having had the option

All vehicle rotors form surface rust after sitting for a while. The moisture in the air sits on them and forms only surface rust. Once you drive the vehicle the rust will disappear.

The 6R80 Automatic is well known to be the most robust S550 option to handle the most power. So if you are building a forced induction platform for drag racing the auto in the 15-17 is the best option. The 10R80 in the 18+ models are also good and faster out the gate but not as robust when it comes to handling HP numbers closer to 800 and above. Manuals are fun in the corners but autos win races!
