Hi, I'm not sure if it could be done, but the component parts are basically available now. The newest devices are built on windows computers with eye gaze cameras attached. iOS options are also becoming available, currently using facial recognition and eye tracking, but I hear eye gaze access is soon to come!

Hi, yes, I apologize it too, time for us to get back to you. This is a setting in TD Snap. If you go into the edit mode (touch the top right corner cog), go down to the User Tab, select Access, then be sure under Options you have "Swiping" set as your navigation option. I'll post a video to show you in just a sec!

I'm Autistic and a primarily verbal AAC user. The evidence is clear that it can only help and support language development. I can speak verbally but I need the device for a variety of reasons. I can't always functionally use the speech I have. Sometimes I can picture the item but I can't remember the word or can't access within my brain how to say it. The goal should always be functional communication. Verbal speech isn't actually superior or better than a device anyway. What's important is the ability to say what you want, when you want, where you want with whoever you want.

I appreciate you sharing your experience! May I share you comments with our other audiences? I believe it’s very helpful for parents of Autistic students to hear this information!

Our core books are part of the All Year Core and More series available to our DTA Schools website members. We have all of our light tech materials, monthly core theme based materials, training resources and webinars for $100/year. Dtaschools.com. We may start breaking out the different materials to put on TPT but I’d like more books first. Thanks for asking!!

This is one of the BEST video examples of using aided language/modeling I've seen. I especially appreciate this interaction with a young adult, as most videos are with small children. Please share more videos with teens/young adults/adults! Thank you!

YES! This is wonderful. Such a sincere and natural interaction - and he's not in pre-school! It's true! These students don't disappear once they reach middle school! Unfortunately, sometimes they have to wait until adulthood to even be introduced to AAC. Thank you and Kendal for sharing.
