Carter is getting it dialed in little by little. He is quickly becoming a contender with Drum Gun.

Both losses were due to something moving in the robot and touching the drive motor which is a outrunner. Lesson learned.

I am thinking of bringing it back full time to our line up. We normally turn the drives down to 30 percent for control. We actually added grip to the wheels and turned the drives up to 50 percent. The motors are megasparks from 2 years ago. I am going to revamp him some and try to bring G to Norwalk in April.

To change gearing you need to do a lot of mods. I would upgrade the motor to a higher kv before I changed gears.

@ not really lol everyone replaces them but I don’t know the part numbers. (Btw 16 pcs, is not a lot to me. I only on average prefer things more mechanical anyways to reduce stress. I hate those toy grade cars that stress the plastic when the suspension is pushed it’s annoying.

But I wanna put a 3s maybe 4s if I can (although might fry the motor eventually) so the stock gears will be way to low for the speeds I wanna hit (at least 80 mph I want some good fly bys after I get bored of 42 mph)

And for tires I might either buy high speed tires or I might just shave the threading (although I would eventually buy paddle tires for genuine off-roading.)

The tankier one eventually won. It is considered a shuffling robot which uses little feet and no wheels. It is slower but allowed a weight bonus due to the form of locomotion leading to the tankier look.

They are awesome little crawlers , I've bought all the front and rear axle upgrades , drive shafts , control arms everything that can be upgraded had been. Just installed my new bumper and real working Winch tonight.
