The Rhino Sawmills ruler is a magnetic strip that can be easily replaced if damaged and adjusted as needed. The cutter block is spinning the wrong way. Timestamp at 57 seconds, the tone is also wrong with the cutter block blades spinning in the wrong direction.

Hi Shane. It may look like it but the cutter is actually spinning the correct direction. It would not be able to cut the way it does or sound good if it spun the other way. Also dangerous.

This was a fun test! We look forward to seeing who will be buying it and using it in the future. We had the wheels rebalanced on this one for maximum performance and the table centre remade so the blade stays in line and straight .

Hi Nice looking EX, that's quite a late model machine with the square shaped swing out covers for the belts, I have an older EX, in your explanation below you didn't mention you can run one spindle in reverse with the same tooling profiles on both blocks (a reverse designed block), I have seen this used by cricket bat manufactures for shaping the handle where it meets the bat. If you let me have the Test Number of the machine I can date it. Edit Just looked on you website Test Number EX 65264 making the build 1961 and I see it's the 2 speed mine is the 4 speed

Thanks for the info and your comment! You're absolutely right, the ability to run one spindle in reverse with the same tooling profile is a great feature of these machines, especially for applications like shaping cricket bat handles. We could've have been more comprehensive on our explanation definitely, thank you again for the detail. The ability to reverse one spindle depends on the specific model and its motor configuration. Also very impressive detective work on your machine's test number! The 4-speed version definitely offers some additional flexibility when using different wood. Different hardness needs different speeds very important to keep in mind the work you do and material you use before buying one of these babies. But then again we never came across anyone who regretted purchasing a Wadkin Machine . Regards Leroy from #GFPmachine
