If you’re doing Ultimaniac, you need to at least be competent with them to a certain extent. Ifrit doesn’t get wykes. Yeah, Brimstone lets you tank one hit, but then it has to recharge

I think you should do ps5. Way harder to cheat unless you’re starmilky. It will give you a more accurate leaderboard standing than on pc where it’s so easy to mod in zero cooldown on all abilities and whatever else…

I’m a little confused - I don’t post on Reddit. However if you mean my video then here are a few general tips for your first time getting a stage’s s rank- collateral techniques and abilities that have an increasing bonus the more times you land then (i.e. Thunderstorm and Windup) are your best friends. Use wykes with the +1 accessory for duration. It will keep you safe from taking hits and keep constant offense pressure. Group small (non staggerable) enemies together and use your collateral techniques (upheaval, shiva dodge away, rift slip, then ice age). This will give you lots of points on small enemies. Use Thunderstorms on bigger enemies and bosses. For your eikons I’d suggest shiva for sure, Garuda for sure, and your third could either be Phoenix or Titan depending on your play style. Also don’t worry so much about the time. You have 65 min total to get the max time bonus. I know this explanation was kind of all over the place but still I hope it helps Edit- for collateral techniques you could sub in scarlet cyclone for upheaval. I like upheaval because it can be activated midair Edit 2- I am replaying the stage and just rediscovered it has a fight with bombs. Do not engage the bombs together. Isolate one and use Thunderstorms to kill them. Also in general remember to do complete limit break combos. Those are worth a lot of points

Having done both I can say S ranking Ultimaniac is more difficult. Getting the platinum trophy in dmc5 isn’t very difficult. I’ve done it twice (once on the original release and again in the special edition)

Thanks! It’s just not the best gameplay in general. I also remember doing this when the dlc was new and I hadn’t really learned Leviathan’s mechanics properly. I thought about redoing at least some of the time trials for a cleaner take. If I do I’ll still keep this and the other originals to show earning the Seven Stars and Eighth Star items

I don’t hate the game. I don’t like what they did to Dante and Vergil but the gameplay is spectacular, which is what really matters

@@unclepharm The combat is great! its the game I do my combos for and I love it, its suprising just how much depth this game has. Also no worries on the triple s, had to play the same way for the platinum trophy so I totally get it!

I’ve seen some cool stuff you can do in that fight- for example parrying his mini judgement cut (aerial flush?). I’ll try to implement a little of that into my GMD run

Do you play on turbo? I don’t, so maybe that’s why? Also I primarily use Arbiter to damage him, which is a slow, hard hitting weapon. Idk what to tell you but it’s still SSS in every category

@@unclepharm I don't use turbo, and it's not that you use that weapon. The fight itself feels slow...

I think I know what you mean. It’s definitely not as intense as the Vergil fights in the other entries. At least it didn’t seem that way to me.

@@lpallad1 I know that for your times/scores to get posted to the leaderboard your save has to be on FF mode. Pretty sure it’s the same for the Coat of the Dominator/Inexorable and the Stars. To replay chapters on FF difficulty in arcade mode your save has to be on FF mode and you have to have completed that part of the game in the story before having access to it at the arete stone. Same for the time trials

I’ve been embracing it for a while lol. It just took a while to constantly do it at will, without thinking. Bro you weren’t lying about these dlc chapters though. I took a short break to platinum Stellar Blade but I’m back at it now and die more often to cats than to the timekeeper. Pretty sure I’ll 1 try Levi cause I learned him backwards and forwards doing no damage

A little over an hour

The only thing I changed was my super to burning maul. Stronghold exotic arms with lament for survivability. Embers- solace, torches, ashes, combustion. I had sol invictus on but if you want to use hammers to damage knights take that off and only use roaring flames. No special mods other than to have 100 resilience and discipline. Also only had the scythe and default titan finishers
