I learned this method for space planning and matrix a few years back in an architecture course I took in highschool. I had completely forgotten about it and now that I am in interior design school, I am relearning all these things. You explained it so well and this made me want to subscribe! I look forward to learning more from you!!

Truly amazing methodical and effective creative process to achieve a great result. As a contractor/ builder/ developer I’ve been doing floor plans for 30+ years, self taught, trial and error, mixed, usually meh results. Had I just seen this one video (can’t wait to see what else Mimi shares) early on oh what different outcomes I could’ve had. Side note I was constantly replaying to absorb the nuggets of wisdom that were casually mentioned. So packed with excellent information. I will be applying these techniques to another custom home development I’m planning for personal use. 💯 A++++, bravo, thank you 🙏

thanks for the method, I've been using messy unpresentable bubbles with line connections almost alone for my designs, I've had a hard time with a few steps of translating my living process based designs to actual measurements, your process reduces the erasure & redrawing, it helps a lot. I will definitely be getting tracing paper.

Some good tips there! But I feel like AutoCAD is so much faster than hand drawing, you can just move, make things smaller/bigger etc immediately. But I like your zoning approach! Thank you for sharing

I'm impressed it did not take so much time to find the house. The market usually makes it so that people need to take a year or longer to find something. Congrats!

I love the process. What advice can you give to someone who wants to become an Interior Designer? I have a Bsc and MSc in Psychology, mother of 2, in my late 30s and want to start over in a new career. For the past couple months, I’ve been playing about with various career ideas Holistic Practitioner, Barrister and now Interior Designer.

Hi first of all I hope this comment finds you well! Secondly, I am an architectural major and I just have a quick question that I know you can answer easily. I feel kind of embarrassed because I should know so the answer of how to solve this but I just wanted to ask it anyways. I am working on a project and I am doing the board presentation panel. My question is how can I make sure my file size does not exceed the size and meet the size requirement. I am talking about like the weight of the file the competition that I am doing has a file size specific and I want to know how to make sure the file weight size is correct? I am not sure if I made sense with the question. If I did, can you give me any ideas?
