Thanks for this. Just got the TX22 TORO and I want to clean it before I even take it out. It looks really easy to clean so that's awesome. I bought quite a few different types of ammo for it so I can test different ones out, depending on where I shoot I might clean it after each type each and see which ones are cleaner shooting. All the boxes are 300 or 375 so I'm expecting that'll be enough to spot the differences. Looking forward to it!

Bullshit. First you said you didn’t want to run the bore brush and such over the threads when you took out the choke tube, but you just did run those through there. You missed some information about removing the piston sleeve. It does not pull out. You need to slow down, and better show the disassembly and reassembly. Now the gun is half way apart and I need to take it to someone.

I have zero intentions on breaking it down this far my method is Brooklyn the mag lock the slide back and run a snake down the boor then go to harbor freight and pick up a assortment package of different sized q tips put a drop or 2 of oil on the cotton swab then proceed to clean up the parts as best as I can making sure I didn’t over due it on the oil and laying it on too thick them I,put a spray or 2 on a microfiber towel of my favorite safari Charlie’s cleaning lubricant and wipe everything that I can get to especially along the metal pieces interior and exterior being careful not to touch anything that could corrode over timekeeping metal or in hi points case pop metal and not to touch it with my bare skin as the oil from our skin will create slight rusting unless you’re into having one of your fingerprints develop into a superficial rusty thumb print visible when you take it out of the case after sitter in your gun cabinet honestly I know it’s better to completely disect it and get to every nook but not always imperative just my .02 happy shooting fellas

I just bought one of these suckers, and while I'm not new to firing guns, I am to owning, cleaning and maintaining them. This is super helpful. Aside from the 12G cleaning kit, do you have any rec's for buying the other cleaning implements? I'm sure plenty can be found on Amazon, but if I can support someone other than Bezos I'd like to go that route.

Hey Travis, which upgrades did you end up doing?
@travisp119 күн бұрын
@@buffetxboy quite a bit to be honest with you we ended up bolting the takedown bolt the one that you used to allow the unit to pivot. I didn’t feel safe with that on there. I also drilled out and put thicker bolts on the end cap to the end, cap wouldn’t come off basically just beeped it up all around it. We did quite a bit of upgrades to it, and we also drilled it out so that we could put a traditional hitch pin in it instead of the Jenkee one that came with it.

I bought a CS when I worked at Walmart around 1990 for $350. I sold it to a friend and have regretted it ever since. I recently got a ‘91 model AW and paid $1k, but I’m pretty sure it’s been a safe queen. The only thing that made it look old was the dust on it. Shoots and cycles flawlessly.
