Hi Taelor, ok so Ik it may be hard to continue with throne of glass but please hear me out, so if I am not incorrect I’m pretty sure Sarah J Mass wrote that book when she was 16 so it’s pretty rough but I truly truly believe that if you continue you will understand the hype and love around the series, it’s literally my all time favorite fantasy series, the romance is definitely a subplot but I love everything about the books and the world building and character development!!! Also she has another book in the series which is called assassins blade which I would recommend you read first, but the reading order is controversial so you could pick whichever one you would like, but I’m glad I read it first!!!!

bestie you don't even need to highlight the words. If you have word wise turned on (I think that's what its called), it will automatically log every word you view the definition of + organises it into flashcards to review later. Idk why more people don't talk about it!!

Great review. Been loving my new Paperwhite too. It was a gift from my spouse so I wouldn’t have to keep struggling with small fonts on books. I just finished Fourth Wing as my first book on this kindle and now will try your rec of how does it feel. Fantasy and romance are some of my favs. To answer the question about covers, I just have the basic Amazon black cover that came with the kindle as a bundle package. It was a gift so I’m not picky 😃 It has the flip front cover that covers the screen when it’s closed but also turns on the kindle when I open the cover and off when I close it again. Very handy. Plus I’m a bit clumsy so I tend to drop technology so having that front protection for the screen is a must! I find I’m used to the extra weight so I never take the cover off. Looking forward to seeing more book reviews after I finish your rec. Thanks.

I’m not sure how it is when you or others read but when I do, it’s like a movie or tv show in my head and that’s how I treat my books, I don’t watch one show or movie all the way through sometimes and that’s how I read. One day I’m in the mood for a mystery, the next day a rom com etc etc. Try that and see if it works…

It discusses me when there's a big age gap. First off, I don't want to read a spicy book when the girl is that young. When there are over 18, I will take a 4 to 5 year age difference. If they are in their late 20s, I will take 10 years, maybe a little more, but that is pushes it. I started reading a mob book where the girl was 18, and the guy was 24 years older, and I was like, nope. Didn't finish it because that is gross. She is just a kid. It was her 18 birthday. One day was supposed to make a difference. Only to law.

i had the ads removed without paying, just talk to one of their customer service employee and ask if they can remove it for you, just tell them the ads are bothering you or something. it worked for me, they removed it without me having to pay. 😂

I thought the same thing about credence. Like?! Is it okay to sexualises a young girl like this ? I was furious with the end and didn’t understand why the author thought that it would be a good idea, I’m just speechless and disgusted 🤯😩 (ps: sorry English isn’t my first language)

Once Upon a Broken Heart IS a bit of a letdown, and this is coming from a BIG Stephanie Garber fan. The sequel is definitely much stronger, but I definitely understand why you feel like that. The romance takes a bit to kick off and I wish people wouldn't hype it up as much for the first book because, it ain't there as much lol

I struggle with Stephen King as well though for me it tends to be his meandering. I recently read the Good Marriage and 1922 and I really enjoyed both of them. They are both shorter works. Of his novels I liked Pet Semetary, Misery, and the Shining the best and thought they were the best paced (but still had some issues with boring bits)

finally another one who also doesn't like OUABH 😭 you said it well, it was just so bland; i don't even know how i willed myself to finish the two books after (even though i didn't enjoy them). the 4.54 general average on the second book in goodreads is also a scam because to me, a lot happened in the book but not relevant to the plot (if there was even one?) and i'm sure the high rating they gave it is just because of the plot twist ending. and on god, the third book is literally the worst because it didn't feel like it came after the previous one, it felt like a whole new different story. why i read them all even though the first book so apparently made me bored to the point i nearly dozed off, i don't know, but i'm happy for you that you dnf'ed this book. you saved yourself SO MUCH time 😭 also sorry for ranting here lol and if someone sees this and loves the series, good for you i just didn't have a particular connection with it

If you want a short Stephen King novel to try out, try The Body or The Mist!! The Cycle of the Werewolf was also pretty good. If you want one that's a little more on the interesting and good side, I also recommend The Shining and Pet Semetary! If you want to brave a long one that's interesting (it's classified as horror but really it's a time travel thriller) try 11/22/63

I DNF Once Upon a Broken Heart. Pacing was a little weird for me and it just wasn't what I thought it would be . I still have the book because I might give it a second chance. Think I read the authors first series before picking it up once again.
@---ul9eq8 ай бұрын
omg the pacing was awful. all over the place. the story felt like a first draft. incomplete and underdeveloped. i was so surprised by how well loved it is because the issues were so glaring to me. the story felt so low stakes and pointless. it felt like the main characters were just wondering around. i think the author was trying to go for whimsical but it really fell flat.
