If the glass is very broken, is it a good idea to remove the OLED frame to rest the screen face up on the gel pad, to prevent the glass from coming off in the middle of the process?

How about the cover? I put on the cover, and those bubble sort of things came at the edges in a day or two. How could I avoid that?

Good luck to anyone who tries this. Did everything right and think I short circuited my screen. Left plugged in the verify it worked until wire step fully removed screen separated fine and reconnected to test after and screen not working. Completely black. Can tell unit is on cause I feel vibrations when switching to silent mode. All other vids people unplugged battery. Should have added that step.

What about Sony phones? Just cracked mine not even a month after I refurbished mine... super frustrating that I spent a good chunk of money and time only to crack it a month later because I ordered the screen protector from china :(

What do you mean near the end of your instructions? You say clean it thoroughly before applying the new TAPE. Specifically, is there some sort of TAPE used?

It didn't save me any money 😢 my "glass" came off really easy because a layer of the amoled was still stuck to it. Weird because the display itself still worked perfect before I removed it. Not sure why I couldn't remove just the glass but now the phone needs a full display replacement

I certainly didn't underestimate it. I watched all the tips, updates, read some info, prepared everything, took my time, however Pixel 7A was really difficult to do and I failed to even separate display without damaging it (not even getting to glass removal...). To give you better grasp about the difficulty, even though I used a lot of isopropylalcohol and applied heat to prescribed temperature, to cut OCA blade down under the display, that needs some force... But to do it precisely, when you use the force, that was probably impossible. What damaged my screen was the OCA blade - it scratched the metal foil that's under the display. The blade is not thin enough to get there smoothly. And on the other hand, it gets deformed (plastic deformation) which than probably caused the scratching from the other side of the display... I ended up on the same price as if I let somebody else doing it - however with a lot of time invested and no warranty. Not worth it. However, I know, that a lot of other people will try anyway... I did the same thing, just needed to experience it myself... :D

Goodnight bro i need your help. i attempted the repair but the wire actually went right through the polarizer film and the screen display. there is some glue left on the screen that bonded the polarizer film to the screen display but my 100 percent acetone cant get it off and i am wondering what i can use? moreover i see this replacement part on alli express being sold that comes with the polarizer already bonded to the outer glass but i am wondering how could i get the side with the polarizer bonded back to the display screen... bear in mind that i dont have any laminator, so could some good old LOCA glue work or did apple use another type of resin to bond the polarizer to the screen itself

Thank you for the video. I have bought a UV protector for a new Oneplus 12R. The screen has a cut out hole where the front camera is. I assume that the glue will go into this hole - will this affect the front camera? Will it affect the quality of photos? I would prefer not to risk damaging it in any way
