I thought I had heard it a long time ago in3/4 time. But most of the versions I listened to on You Tube seemed to favor 4/4. I really had to work at it to keep from sliding into the waltz time. Thank you for listening and your wonderful comment. Be blessed.

Thank you. I think the song goes back to the late 50s. Marty Robins was doing a kind of crossover between country and rock.. It was one of the first songs I learned when we moved to the state of Georgia. As always I sincerely appreciate your comments. Again, thank you.
