Sb g6 is best because the 5.1 7.1 is scalable from direct mode to 0 to 100 on the suround on mode giving complete control over sound distanced and 3d blend

Stereo sounds best for me as audiophile, dolby sounds too blunted and muddy same stage as stereo. Windows Sonic is the only one where I felt there was a substantial difference in stage, yes there was more treble and sounded shit but not as shit as dolby and placed things a bit farther away.

Windows sonic is more depth without losing positional. Dolby Atmos and DTS:X are very good on sound positional, but not as good as Windows Sonic on depth.

I have to say I'm not and audiophile by no means but I do appreciate a good set of headphones for gaming so I have to say that outta all those test that "Nahimic 3 Surround" sounded the aboslute best. And imo the Razer was really bad. Windows Sonic was really close to the "Nahimic 3 Surround". This is all just my humble opinion though.

Just tested this in Oct 2023, I have Dolby Atmos for Headphones and tested with HRTF on/off with and without it. Not sure there's a huge difference. Right now I'm defaulting to HRTF on and Atmos off. I think it's got the most positional info. I can tell you do want HRTF on for sure. Atmos is pretty subtle but I think it may barely mask sounds in a bad way. It's hard to tell off this simple test.

Does anyone fill like the update 7.06 has no surround anymore? I always used razer 7.1 surround sound software, and it was so OP, but after the last update I feel só lost in sound queues, it's like someone behind me looks on my right or left, idk

i was just tweaking out coz i was playing death match and when poeple was on the left it sounded like it was coming from the right turns out i had my right and left earbuds backwards

The differences between Stereo and Dolby Headphone is day and night. I mean, just wow! You can really hear the detailed sound from behind as compared to ordinary Stereo.

If anything other than the default stereo 'works better' for you, man you need to get your headphones changed from the gamer garbage you're using

omg omg omg .. you did such a great job with this video .. nearly covered all the possible solutions available rn i would vote for dolby but it would be just perfect if you could re upload the updated version with RIOT's HRTF in game implementation and maybe Razer THX spatial ( im assuming its updated now from when it was called razer surround pro , if it's the same as before then no need to include that ofc )

I hate Nahimic. It doesn't work at all half the time, it's *terrible* IF it works and is harder to uninstall than any virus I ever encountered.

Help me on this: before activating the surround software, how do you set it on windows? You configure the output on "stereo" or "surround 7.1"? (to use headsets that support 7.1 in this case)

Nahimic 3 has strong stereo seperation that irritates my ears. Best is Dolby atmos i guess.

Windows sonic is horrible from my pov. Regular stereo is the best for pinpointing enemies with rich sound queues. But windows sonic sounds too flat and messes up locations sometimes.
