Really big ask but I am a 13 year old just now getting into mountain bikes and I have a Marlin 5 gen 3 that took me about a year to save up for. I want to upgrade it but don’t have money to being honest and I feel very limited seat post wise so what are the odds I get a cheap dropper post. I know it’s a big ask but it would be a big help and keep up the vids they’re great!!

If you have the purchasing power to buy a $10,000 usd bike more power to you. But why would you? Nothing justifies the fact that these prices of bikes in the category of MTB trail Enduro and downhill are reaching ridiculous outrageous prices. I know that they are carbon and have high tech and quality products that require batteries and all that but seriously though. These types of bikes and materials have been made for many years now. The first carbon fiber mountain bike rames were made in 1980s and only the exclusive elite could afford them, they Gained mainstream attention in the 1990s literally 40+ years later when they were supposed to be getting cheaper they are getting outrageously expensive and infact even after adjusting for inflation there is no way a carbon fiber frame mountain bike should cost $6,000 to $10,000 and even more. Why are they so expensive then? Because people don't understand that they influence where the market goes and not the other way around. When manufacturers take notice that people buy these bikes for sport and fashion they take advantage of that and raise the prices. Even including the shipping costs and inflation there is no way they should cost this much.
