Beautifully performed by both of you! I found this by accident, and I am delighted to see these songs performed. How did you hear about them? (Bruce Adolphe here...)

Dear Bruce, Pardon my late reply! It’s a funny story - we had an art song literature class and one of the assignments was to find a poem by a particular poet and then a song that uses that poem. Friedrich Rückert was chosen for me and I found his poem “Heaven has shed a tear” - english translation. I then researched that in Sibley Music Library and came across your beautiful work!! I decided to program it on my recital because of how beautiful they were and to have an English selection that would pair well with the other material!! Zoe Yucong Wang is actually a composer & pianist! She has written many contemporary works including “Three Tagore Songs” and a violin concerto! It was a joy working with her and diving into your music!!

Lovely voice. Not unsurprisingly his youth has yet to embrace and display the colour shadings needed to bring this aria to full bloom but he undoubtedly has the basic equipment to graduate to the necessary heights. There's much, much more in this piece than he currently gives us but that's an observation, not a criticism.

Thank you! I’ve been working more on lower laryngeal position & reducing jaw & tongue tension in my sound! 😊 Definitely can take more artistic decisions.
