In the North East of AZ, the forestry department is actually removing junipers because of their invasiveness to the area. In less than 2 years after removing 1/3 of the trees, the area looks like a whole new place. Green, filled with wildlife, and the water table has risen. The pronghorn are thriving too. The NE was originally all grassland back in the 1850's, according to cowboy journals.

You isolated the pump pressure switch from the tank pressure with that third check valve, simple.

You don't need check valves for a jet pump. Use them for submersable pumps.

Thank you for this. I bought a truck a year ago and was never given the key for the tow hitch pin. I needed to swap my hitch for the first time today as I was buying a large travel trailer. Was about to go ham with a hammer and decided to see if anyone else has had the same issue. Grabbed a random jack handle and had it off in 10 seconds with the same reaction of what? That was to easy.

I've only know that the check vale should go on the in line to the pump befor the pump, this keeps the system primed even if the foot valve in the well goes bad, ask me how I know😅. I was also told any in line filter should go after the pump, why I don't know that either.
@ArizonaHotHomestead11 күн бұрын
im thinking i want the water filtered before the pump to protect the pump from debris.
@runningman115611 күн бұрын
@ArizonaHotHomestead I thought the same thing but was told it could hurt the pump because flow is restricted. Don't know if this is so.

The only checkfile needed on that system is the one immediately after the well or water source. It would be there to protect the water source from contamination or back flow. Everything after that would just be ball valves that could be shut off for servicing. Those pumps turn on when water flow is detected. But they require Back pressure at the same time. I mean the check valve right after the pump eliminated that. And the pump would start short cycling. By removing the check valve the pressure tank Is giving the pump back pressure. The check valve on the main line should be removed and replaced with a ball valve so you have an accurate reading. And if the pump starts short cycling you will know there is a leak in the main line or at the house.
@ArizonaHotHomestead21 күн бұрын
now i know that. lol. i like it that i can post videos and i get so much input the information is incredible. thanks

@ArizonaHotHomestead21 күн бұрын
i do have a house service line. i am off grid the nearest city water line is over 25 miles away
@donaldblank887329 күн бұрын
Apparently the pump has to read pressure from the house. New remove the check valve it is now reading pressure from the pressure tank. There should not be a check valve after the pump anywhere in the line. A ball valve should be installed. For servicing. With the check valve in front of the pump the first time the pump was unable to read the pressure.

@kkelly52-ny6qlАй бұрын
The system only requires 1 check valve. The check should be put before the tank and after the pump to stop back pressure. The way you explained it was soon as both check vlaves shut your system ie the pipe work between the pump and tank because check vales do not create a very tight seal the pressure in your pipe work will reduce another words it would slowly drain back into your well. So by just having a check valve at your tank before your pressure switch, you find it works perfectly.

Thanks for the video I ran into the same issue with the same set up with the backflow valve. The well technician had the answer it's the back flow pressure that kept the pump from short cycling. The pump switch stop cycling after i removed the backflow valve. Don't put a back flow valve between the Tank and pump!!!

Proof that these locks provide a False sense of security, only keeping honest people honest. To slow thieves and prevent prank pin pulls I use a Grade 8 Bolt for my pin. With loctite thread-locker on the 2 nuts holding it in place, followed by a bit of J-B Weld and a cotter key. This has kept everything snugly in place. Yes the pin can still be removed but will take a lot more time and effort to do so. And yes it will now be a royal pain if I ever want to swap out the hitch. But the hitch will still be there to swap out.
