@ZetecinsideMotorsport2 күн бұрын
I think I had to push the battery towards the front of the car, which gave access to allow the bracket to be refitted at the end of the battery. It took some joggling to get the battery to move to allow the bracket and bolt to go back in.

Damn looked like a hard hit, interesting log though. In the meantime, you could try a 3D cust map that limits/multiplies DBW demand against BPF, so even if you go flatout on throttle on brakes, DBW limit could be limited to essentially nothing. If you get on the latest firmware you could have this 3D map switchable based on PPS or something else applicable to give an extra dimension on top of this so it only applies under certain braking scenarios. I havent tried this myself so not sure if it would affect the DBW downshift blip target as well in this scenario, or if the software would stack the demands/targets or not. Might be a bit more natural this way in terms of the engine running rather than relying on the brake/throttle cut strategy to cut power.

Theory is that the hybrid Hans didn't help, I'll be looking at options. Belts were as tight as I normally pull them. But my bum shifted forwards judging by the massive bruising on both legs and hips which didn't help either. It was excruciating pain and my back still isn't recovered.

strong camera mount though. Did it record 13G or is that calculated ?
@ZetecinsideMotorsport6 ай бұрын
The GPS module only reports values 10 times a second, and showed 3G. But the car stopped dead from 30mph in 0.1s which equals 13G.

So are tyre walls, so is slippery grass, so are many aspects. It's racing. Accept the risks, or drive slower. There's always something out there that can potentially harm. And circuits are much safer than proper hills. C'est la vie or something like that
@ZetecinsideMotorsport6 ай бұрын
Not really worried about permanent fixtures on circuits. They're there for a good reason. But temporary traffic cones, get knocked down, move and migrate on to the track, and damage vehicle's. Better to not use them at all than scatter them randomly on to the circuit knowing they'll cause an accident.

If you interpolate the brake pressure down to 0, won't it start cutting fuel as the pressure fluctuates from vibration on the straights?
@ZetecinsideMotorsport6 ай бұрын
Correct this is just a demo of how to set a table up using interpolation. Setting the brake pressure breakpoints to start from 20bar is also worth looking at.
@DavidMalenczak6 ай бұрын
I assume this wasn't youre first time there. Do any of your previous laps show the brake and accelerator being applied at the same time? This might give you an indication if you are hitting both pedals. I assume it's drive by wire, could it be an electrical gremlin?
@ZetecinsideMotorsport6 ай бұрын
Yes it looks like the pedal was also pressed on the previous run, and there is evidence from the previous event at Curborough where something similar happened, though only a few percent rather than 50%. I'll check the pps sensor and linkages.
@podd3726 ай бұрын
That's interesting. In my road going skoda superb dsg, I cant have brake and throttle on together (no left foot braking 😂) or the engine cuts if I try. So it must be possible. Is there a bias bar on the brake peddle? Ive had a situation where the bias bar was catching the throttle peddle on my car.
@ZetecinsideMotorsport6 ай бұрын
We've had someone point out where in the ECU this can be set, to cut fuel if brake and throttle are both pressed simultaneously, and brake pressure and throttle percentage targets are both adjustable. The table is all zero by default, so I'll be setting it up carefully before I next drive the car. I'll check the brake bias bar, great suggestion thanks 👍
@blow0me6 ай бұрын
you can already do it. custom map, dbw target limit and bpf as the 2d table and you should be able to limit DBW opening based against bpf.
