Man, it is so weird revisiting this after Punk's full year back in WWE. All those positive feelings about AEW, wanting to wrestle against Omega and the Bucks, the joy he has in his voice when talking about wanting to wrestle Moxley. And then two years later, two backstage fights, a toxic scrum, mismanagement of negative feelings, and plenty of bridges burned, Punk's in the one place he said he didn't really want to go back to at the beginning of this podcast with Renee. I don't say that as a negative thing, I hope he's happy in WWE, but it's also really sad things just went downhill so quickly. What could have been in full display here.
