I was about to leave a comment part way through about ticking the 'Auto Refill' option on the tanks,, but you realised just after. I honestly thought you were deliberately cutting the ship in half until you remarked on it. Thank goodness those hydrogen tanks didn't explode when they dropped to the ground...

I think a fresh start is for the best. Please make sure that you have the baddies turned right down until you are more established and so not going to get wiped out early on again. You can add more mods later. One thing though, if you haven't already, please can you use the sneaky sounds mod to make your tools quieter? I struggled through muting and trying to use subtitles when you spent a while grinding down your ship and drilling under the base in the previous season. Oh, and you might want to make season 1 and 2 playlists as well as the complete one you have currently particularly as this feels like the current story is not connected to the previous events.

Only the second episode in and you guys almost got blasted by a meteor shower right of the bat 😂

In my opinion the new start/season on a planet is the better choice if the other would have been struggling like crazy with what little was left or doing a reroll to a past save to "avoid" what was the downfall encounter. It wouldn't have been very authentic to go back a save and just keep going. At that point you might as well just go into creative and rebuild everything and just act like the fight never happened. This time will make it a little simpler to survive from the start, you can dig in a little easier and enemies can't come from literally EVERY direction around a space station/asteroid, looking forward to this fresh start and how you guys do!

I don't know if you're aware of it but there is a script for the Nanobot Build and Repair System Block that cues up missing components in the assembler. For example if it needs metal grids and it can't find any in inventory it then tells the assembler to make some. As long as you keep a good supply of ingots, you can be sure that things get completely welded up. For some reason KZbin won't let me leave links from the workshop, just search for this: Nanobot Build and Repair System Queuing / Display / Scripting

It is a good idea to use half armor blocks when you do not need as much HP.

your wasting your hydrogen suit holding W..you can max out your speed than press Z to remove your inertia dampers(suit breaks)

Btw, if you are using weapon core, you can disable the LWTS weapons by blacklisting them in the Modular Encounter Spawn config. You can find the full list in the mod.
