You lost me when you lumped people carrying "Live Free or Die" flags together as being selfish. I felt like I was attending a lecture, not a church service. Sorry. It was hard for me to be receptive to the rest of the message after that. As Christians, yes we have a responsibility to each other. But we also have a responsibility to understand and respect each other's point of view. There is still a lot of fear creating anger in our communities and I am not sure today's message went very far in addressing that. Happy to discuss with anyone and elaborate further.

Good messages often have a way of distracting us from what we expect and redirecting our attention to a new or forgotten perspective. Brady’s mention of waving a “Don’t tread on me” flag was in reference to using it as an excuse for individual freedom as opposed to representing the freedoms of others for the good of the whole. I completely understand being thrown off and having a difficult time following a message afterward. Fortunately, this one was recorded and we have the opportunity to go back and re-listen. There was so much good proclaimed here that we need to hear. I encourage you to jump back in when you’re ready.

@@jimmyphil13 Sorry but I probably will not attempt to listen again. FCC needs to have an open dialogue about all of this. As long as anyone with a divergent POV is called selfish, we are not going to be able to come together. I have found that the people who are the most dismissing and disrespectful of the "Live Free of Die" or "Don't Tread on Me" folks still have their jobs, can pay the rent, and put food on the table. Those who are "carrying" those flags, as it was put, are often the people who are out of work and scared because they are not sure how they are going to continue to care for the family. Easy to condemn when we all still have our jobs. Quite frankly, I have found FCCs response to this entire situation to be underwhelming. If anyone wants to have an honest mask to mask or phone conversation about that, I will be happy to elaborate. FCC has missed lots of opportunities to serve, IMHO.
