Perhaps it's time to implement some basic rules for all presidential candidates like submitting 1. financial info to make sure the candidate is solvent and has no foreign contracts that might affect their policy decisions. 2. Medical records to show they are fit to serve and that includes psychiatric assessments. 3. No criminal record or outstanding legal judgments. The idea of a liar holding office erodes public confidence and isn't a good example for the young. Pulling the plug on the Trumpf show should have happened in 2021 when Trumpf was impeached. But McConnell played politics and passed the buck.
