For Lugia I would love to see it as a colorless Ex. It could be cool if it had an effect to search once per game randomly for a zapdos, articuno or moltress from your deck and allow you to change the next energy you get to fire, water or electric each turn. Not sure if this idea is great as it is but there's potential to build a deck based around the legendary birds, could be cool.

It'd be cool to see eggs added, similar to fossils, and those evolve into baby Pokémon. And instead of the baby pokemon having strong health/attack, they would have more of a focus on unique effects. Maybe you could trigger a very powerful effect (maybe a one time effect) if you evolve the baby it's adult form too, adding more viability to pokemon like Magmar, Chancey, electobuzz, etc

The biggest weakness I see with this jigglypuff is that it can be sniped very easily in the early game. Even if you manage to keep an opponent's pokemon sleep, evolution erases all statuses .Therefore, even if your enemy is asleep, if there's a chance they can evolve that would probably mean losing the jigglypuff and one point.
@alexanderelderhorst21072 күн бұрын
The old jigglypuff is so trash 2 energy for a measely 30 damage, so having a 1 energy attack that is purely to stall till you can get the ex wiggly. So wigglytuff is gonna be more popular I feel, and since a single 50 damage can kill it means it's somewhat balanced as a 50/50 to skip their attack rather than getting nothing

Idk if worse tbh. Statistically you do similar damage with low chance better/worse high/low rolls. This gives slightly better match ups against strats that normal haunter doesn't work for, but slightly worse match ups against one's it does work for. Its decent tech without really changing the mon

Onix is not amazing but could be quite devastating during the first couple of turns if you pull one Brock. It's not for aggro decks, it's more for mid-range to stall decks because you know it will die fighting, but not without leaving you with a good bench or wreaking havoc first. Not S tier but not one of the worst cards in the game either, those are the evolved pokemons that deal 40 damage and have low hp.
@Average_CoD_Clips2 күн бұрын
Spot on! Onix is not strictly bad when you put it in the context of Brock. Going second and having Brock is quite powerful against the slower decks and even Pikachu EX. With Giovanni you can KO Mewtwo EX & Arcanine EX over two turns.
@jaydee90052 күн бұрын
you need to pull 2 brocks to make it work cuz the top meta decks are too fast
@TheLMBLucasКүн бұрын
@@jaydee9005 But it is not top meta, I said that. It's just not among the worst cards and at least has a solid (no pun intended) objetive it's trying to achieve.

Onix isn't bad, it just doesn't beat Pikachu.....or Mewtwo.....or Articuno......or Arcanine.....or Machamp....wait what is it supposed to beat?
@TheLMBLucasКүн бұрын
@@Codeblueninja You are saying that lol. I just said it's not top tier, not that it can't beat any of the top tier decks. It beats Pikachu, the most used deck right now. It can also beat other slow decks sitting at Tier 2. So it's NOT BAD.
@moonblastx19963 күн бұрын
People are overly hyped for 1 energy sleep imo. It deals no damage, so it's not that strong, and has 10 less HP which is IMMENSELY significant Also Onix is underrated as fuck, and so is Brock. I've been using Onix/Golem or other Golem decks without Onix and doing really well
@azulesmalls55143 күн бұрын
the entire point of the sleep is to stall until Wigglytuff. Yes. 50 HP is significantly worse than 60 because GIovanni exists but it is still a significant upgrade and is the cheapest source of sleep currently available outside of evolving Drowzee.
@rbar913 күн бұрын
What’s your deck please?
@moonblastx19963 күн бұрын
@@azulesmalls5514 50 HP doesn't need Giovanni to be KO'd also you're basically gambling a prize for a chance to stop a turn of your opponent while Hypno does it safely from the bench without energy and you can deal damage with your active Pokemon instead
@azulesmalls55143 күн бұрын
@@moonblastx1996 Giovanni and 40 Damage is the most accessible form of early tempo. That was me talking about why new Jigglypuff is bad. Otherwise you would need to get lucky with Kangaskhan or have type advantage + 30 Damage. There are many ways to deal 50 Damage I was just trying to highlight how EASY it is to reach that benchmark. New Jigglypuff only takes 2 deckslots. Hypno takes 4. Jiggypuff needs 1 energy. Hypno takes 0. Jigglypuff needs to be in the active slot why Hypno can hide in the bench. Hypno needs to evolve from Drowzee Jigglypuff doesn't. It's deck dependent. It depends on what you want to do. I understand that you think Jigglypuff is overated. Not that Jigglypuff will be bad. I still think this Jigglypuff will be better because 1 energy and immediate disruption is very good. No damage sucks, but old Jigglypuff is 40 Damage for 2 energy.
@moonblastx19963 күн бұрын
@@azulesmalls5514 it's not bad but getting one shot by Mewtwo's 2 energy attack without Giovanni kinda sucks compared to the current one. The sleep is luck based, and I don't play decks based on luck so

Some interesting ideas i've got for some gen 2 cards: (also keep in mind that were probably getting a base number of 15 Ex cards, more or less evenly spread across types, so some pokemon are kind of the only options for some typings, even if they might sound weird, that's gen 2 for you) 1-Lugia EX as a colorless card (flying type represents it way better than psychic) but it would requiere water energy. So it could actually be super strong but have weaknesses: 1 It works with colorless and water decks, but can't abuse misty. 2 also has the electric weakness but isn't effective against fire types. 2-Typlosion Ex could be a mix of dragonite a charizard. Explosion would require 4 energies and discard 2 fire energies, and it would hit every enemy pokemon. Maybe just like dragonite or an even 50 spread on every mon, unless they don't have 4, then the one that gets the 100 damage would be random, in this idea it would requiere 3 energies. 3-Meganium Ex should have an aromatherapy ability. Either a secondary effect of its attack, curing it's own status, or what i would like, an ability that can activate once per turn in the bench and heals any status effect the active pokemon has. Maybe that way it can have less Hp, like 140-160, and a decent damage/energy cost attack, maybe even a 2 energy retreat cost, but it could be a very sweet support? I just want my favorite starter to be good and interesting. 4-Heracross EX with Guts as an ability, if it's afflicted with any status conditions, he gets an attack buff. 5-Sudowoodo EX with a 140 HP or 150, with an attack than can allow him to copy the last attack he was hit by in the previous turn (Maybe even greninja's water shuriken from the bench) 6-Scissor EX as a steel type that maybe also needs grass energy or probably better, requires some colorless to attack, so scythers grass energy still helps him (steelix could work the same way) with an 80 damage bullet punch and a 20 or 40 damage U-Turn, that allows him to retreat while attacking and not wasting energy, but it ends his turn. 7-Ampharos EX. Don't have any ideas more than it having a lot of HP, 150 or higher, and were 100% getting it, there's only 2 electric types worth an Ex, him and Raikou, and i can't see us not getting 2 Electric EX cards. 8-Regular Noctowl with hypnosis. Not necessarily crazy or meta but at least some fun cards for Aipom, Misdreivus and Donphan. I'm really liking how regular but really beloved pokemon can be pretty nice and fun in this game even if they aren't insane meta defining EX cards.
