I have a csx and was worried about all the bad reviews on the trigger. Decided I’d check one out and I ended up going home with it. Love the pistol. I shoot to reset, it’s just natural for me I’m no comp shooter by any means. After 200rounds(not a lot) I have not had any trouble with “trigger freeze”. Shoots great and is comfortable to carry. Really wish there was more aftermarket support though.

They’re both good guns. People tend to associate their guns with their dick size and get offended if you say one bad thing about it. I love my Wilson combat SFT9 best gun I’ve ever owned… but I shot a friends Knighthawk custom which is the best shooting 9mm I’ve ever handled. Doesn’t mean my gun is any less than I thought it was and it doesn’t mean the KC is perfect!

i carry my fnx 45 tactical because it is a BEAUTY and battle ready. but if it were to fall to one gun and run it would be the g19 due to compatibility, 9mm, and reliable. i am in texas though so 45 is everywhere as well.

The practice of carrying another magazine is for malfunction not just for extra ammo.Most malfunction happen with the magazine. I've trimmed down my edc also but always carry another magazine our speed strip not to much weight with a extra magazine.

After years of doing data analytics professionally I have this to say about your insinuation here. You are 100% correct. The use of "averages" to describe and entire field of data is as dumb as it gets, and betting that you will never exceed the average is a certain way to fail. Great video!

The Glock was a phenomenom...in the 80s. It has been eclipsed by the better S&Ws, Walthers, and others. And your WC SFT9 blows a Glock out of the water.

I was never tempted to go with a red dot because my stygmatism makes it a red blob. So I compete and EDC with iron sights - and do just fine TYVM. 😉 Also, in competitions, I've seen red dots fail is SO may ways: Fogged up Not turned on Not shaking awake Sun at an angle causing a double dot Dead batteries Dirty lens Loose mount Just plain broken. I don't trust 'em for all of the above reasons. And at normal civilian self-defense distances, there is zero advantage to a red dot. Certainly not one that trumps all of the above listed disadvantges. BTW - LOVE your shirt. 🤣👍

THANK YOU for calling out the shite firearms. I cringe everytime I see someone at the range with one. Buy once, cry once and get a good quality firearm for EDC! I trust my life to Wilson Combat, Ed Brown, and SIG. Yes, they are expensive. and YES they are worth every penny. I have and use both kydex and leather. I really good quality leather holster lasts almost forever. I have a Tucker leather belt and holster that is my usual with my Ed Brown. But my P365 hides better in a kydex from Vedder holsters. Just subbed, sir. 👍 Great content.

Well done! You made a phenomenal choice. But I dunno why you don't like .45ACP? I EDC a .45 Ed Brown Kobra Carry and my wife EDCs a WC EDC X9. I really like her Wilson...on the rare occassions she lets me shoot it. 😂 But a Commander length .45 1911 is my gun of choice - and has been as a professional and as a civilian since the 1970s. BTW - in countless thousands upon thousands of rounds over those decades, in stressfull situations, with less than ideal presentations, both real life and in competitions, I have never had a problem with the grip safety. A properly tuned grip safety, especially with a memory bump, works every time. At any rate, again, GREAT choice! We've only had her EDC X9 for about two years now - but it has eaten thousands of rounds, everything from HST HPs, to ball, to my crappy reloads with never a failure of any kind.Larry Vickers teaches the left thumb slide release manipulation and it is very fast and very sure. I think, with the amount of practice you do, it will become second nature to you in no time.

There is no way you should use any of these guns in a true bug out. One ,to many parts to break. Second and most importantly one kind of ammo. Best a 357 mag revolver . Much more reliable, 3 types of ammo will work. 38, 38+p ,357 mag. Much easier to find.

Thanks, IMHO 1911's/2011's out perform all other guns for the AVERAGE shooter. The triggers on these guns are the most conducive to not disturbing the sights when fired. I have for the past 20 plus years been a big fan of these guns and also have a SFT9 and Staccato in my EDC rotation. It is worth noting that I have never had a gun fail to fire in 10's of thousand rounds because of the grip safety . If properly tuned this for me is a non exist problem. I can shoot other guns including the Shadow Systems, Sigs, Beretta's, Walthers, and etc but, just not as well as the 1911 platform. Enjoy yours!

I don't doubt that they have problems with thermistors but before you replace thermistors check your diode block. It is in with the relays and early ones looked just like a relay. I changed many thermistors before changing them did nothing. When I checked the wiring diagram I found the diode block seemed to be the culprit. It's a group of diodes all grouped together. Upon checking further I found the terminals were all lose inside the block and I found one diode that wasn't working. I replaced the block and haven't had thermistor problems since. And by the way if you extend the wires for the thermistor then you won't need to remove the fuse panel. I did that at the same time that I found the diode block.

Safety is off as the weapon goes into the holster getting ready to leave the house. If it's stored in the holster it's never engaged. If you can't carry with the safety off you need more training.
@timberlinetactical
@timberlinetactical 4 ай бұрын
Ya that’s really bad advice. If you can’t remove the safety when you draw you need more training. Why would you carry a gun designed to be carried with the safety on with it off? Manual safeties often control internal drop safeties and internal failures. Being lazy and turning off your safety with it In the holster is not a training issues. How would more training fix that? That makes no sense. If you’re going to carry with the safety off buy a gun with no manual safety designed to be carried that way.

I find it hard to believe that in a heated situation, that you’re going to distinguish from the “false” reset and the actual reset. I have the CSX, and the false trigger is so subtle that you can’t notice it unless you’re showing it on a video in a demonstrative manner. My CSX is fine and I had no problems with it at the range. You can’t tell me that when running the gun that there will be a problem….
