Saw the Swingle singers on the Proms that brought back memories of this album from my school days. I couldn’t remember the title but 30 mins on the internet I tracked it down, thanks. My album was destroyed in a Sydney flood

I saw Swingle II as they were called much of the 1970s perform these songs and much more at the Kongsberg Jazz Festival in 1978. Unforgettable. Made me a life-long fan! Thanks for sharing this. Brings back happy memories.

This is, without a doubt, the finest group vocal performance of this song. Primarily known as an instrumental, by the likes of Glenn Miller (and many others), or sung by a solo artist, it's rare to hear a harmony vocal treatment of this fine standard. The Swingle Singers make this their own while adhering to the original arrangement. This version received airplay on the old Beautiful Easy Listening radio stations of yesteryear.

I got hooked on Swingles as a child, as my Dad played their albums. And now 55 years later, I still love listening to them, esp. the classical music pieces. :)

Wow, it transports me back to my childhood - my parents used to play this album! This track was only one I liked back then. Not so convinced now though!
